I accidentally wrote wrong tracking number. It did not affect the customer receiving her package and with only one mistake Im penalized????? I think that is unfair and ridiculous considering my sells and online and early mailing. I think this needs to be reevaluated in the star seller considerations. Other sellers say they don’t care if they receive the badge because their reviews are all that matters but I like to get the star seller for my own satisfaction
Nope. I’ll just only be concerned my customers are happy
@Rufflerunway I bet you will double check next time, right?

@Rufflerunway: "I accidentally wrote wrong tracking number." You have 72 hours from the time you mark an order as complete to correct the shipper and / or tracking number (you cannot edit the completed / shipped date). There is more information about "How to Add Tracking and Complete an Order" at https://help.etsy.com/hc/en-us/articles/115015774228 Scroll down to the "How to edit the tracking number on an order" section. If you correct the tracking number in a timely manner the system will pick it up and the Star Seller stats will auto update (but not retroactively). An unsupported shipping company and / or invalid tracking number equals shipped without tracking.
Either use Etsy labels, or use an integrated service like PirateShip that will mark your orders complete on Etsy and add the tracking number for you. Problem solved.
But you still need to double check your orders because integrations can, and do, fail.
@BagmakerSupply Seldom does that happen, I've had only a couple in thousands of orders.
But yes, it could happen,
@bradgoodell: I think what triggered that in my memory was some post of a POD integration failing and the orders all considered as shipped late. But I have also noticed lately that the Etsy - Aftership updates are not as timely and inclusive as they had been for a while (since the last "pre-transit" debacle). We will have ten packages all scanned at the same, all marked as complete at the same time and only some change to "In Transit".
@Rufflerunway It is your responsibility to input the tracking correctly if you did not use Etsy labels or Pirateship. You have 3 days to correct the tracking number, If you had done so the star seller would have reflected the change. I know because I made the a tracking error recently but I caught it within the 3 days.
The effect of lowering is immediate so you would have had that time to change the tracking number.
Yes, Etsy wants happy buyers but in order to comply with Etsy seller standards for the US, Etsy wants tracking and a tracking error by anyone means Etsy sees no tracking.
