I’ve recently had 2 orders which were customer collections so I couldn’t provide tracking information. I did add in the box below that customer collected, but the collections have meant that my ‘on time despatch and tracking’ status for star seller has been reduced. The handbook states that your star seller status won’t be affected if you state customer collected so there seems to be a glitch here. Does anyone else have this issue? My orders were completed on the original Etsy seller app.
@Irenespebblepictures: Can totally understand why you interpreted what is said the way you did, but it also says "As a reminder, adding tracking to your physical orders is one of the criteria for the Star Seller badge. Completing an order without adding tracking will not count as a tracked order towards Star Seller eligibility." What they do not make clear is that it still counts as an order (without tracking) for Star Seller eligibility. When reading Etsy information one has to put on their *lawyer* hat and interpret it in the least advantageous light.
From the help center: At this time, orders that don't have tracking because they are delivered or picked up in person will be considered shipped without tracking, and will not meet the Star Seller criteria for shipping.

Will local pickup orders be part of my evaluation for a Star Seller badge?
All physical listing orders must include a valid tracking number or a shipping label purchased on Etsy to be considered for a Star Seller badge. At this time, we’re unable to make exceptions for local pickup orders.
This also applies to delivery orders.
Thank you for your reply. I think the article I read about allowing for customercollections with no tracking is only available to US sellers. Thanks for sending your link though. It’s a pity this isn’t available to all sellers

Not requiring tracking on delivered orders is very different than saying it still counts towards the SS metrics. No one, not even in the US, is exempt from the required tracking to qualify for the SS.
It says right in the link you keep sharing:
"As a reminder, adding tracking to your physical orders is one of the criteria for the Star Seller badge. Completing an order without adding tracking will not count as a tracked order towards Star Seller eligibility."
@audreytherese thank you for your reply, I’d thought I’d entered details incorrectly when I’d marked the items as despatched which is why I tried to look up the info for customer collections and it affecting the star rating.
