Hello! I recently lost my star seller badge because of a something out of my control. I was on vacation mode (and actually on vacation!!) when I received a message and did not respond within 24 hours. Now the reason I did not was because 1. I was on vacation & 2. This was not a new customer!! I had spoken with this individual previously and so there was no reason to believe that it was a new thread on my part. I responded to her the next day. And now I have lost my Star Seller badge because of this and I am quite upset. I have worked hard to maintain my status and aim to provide excellent customer service. I feel like this will hurt my visibility as I begin this new year, please help!
when you put your shop on vacation, you can set an autoreply
otherwise, you have to reply to each new message thread, in 24 hours.
Nothing to do about it now, as you missed the deadline
next time, when you click on vacation mode, fill in the bit underneath it which says.........
@TheGrandAtticTO It was in your control. You should have set up auto-reply.
"I feel like this will hurt my visibility" -- Many sellers confirm SS badges don't make much of a difference.
What does hurt visibility is an unfinished shop (no policies, no About page, no shop members, no public profile and so on).
@TheGrandAtticTO: As @Natalya1905 points out, you need to complete your shop. An incomplete shop will hurt you more than no Star Seller. And if you ship to jurisdictions with strict laws (like the European Union) you need to make sure you are in compliance.
