Hi all,
just wondered if anyone had experienced a similar issue. My shop has been incredibly quiet of late (it has in fact JUST started to pick up) but for a shop of my age/well established, I went nearly six weeks with no sales, despite new listings paying for ads etc etc… as a rule with the amount of input I’d been putting I to my shop, historically I could have expected 5-7 good sales per week, so it was concerning.
i noticed that my star seller status wasn’t updating as the months ticked by despite being ‘on track’ and 100% on everything the previous months.
I contacted etsy, via chat, and they informed me there did seem to be some sort of glitch, and that they’d ask tech support to get in touch.
Tech support did contact me, but I felt like I’d gotten something of a generic response, without anyone actually looking into the issue. I responded but haven’t been replied to.
I am a little concerned about any other technical issues my shop MIGHT be experiencing. As I said, no sales for nearly six weeks is unprecedented for us in 10 years on Etsy. I also had at one point over $30,000 of stock sitting in customers baskets. As a rule, historically, I could almost guarantee that they would have converted into at least 50% in sales.
Has anyone else been experiencing similar issues? Etsy has been a great platform for me in the past, and I like to think I’ve been a great ambassador for them, I’m concerned that I may not be getting the exposure I previously got here.
thanks for any feedback on similar experiences.

I'm seeing what looks to me like an abnormally high amount of vintage sellers posting in the forum recently that their shops are dead. Here's a recent one.
You have the speedy replies, and rave reviews
You don't have the - ships on time with tracking badge
if you go to customer service stats
click on "PREVIOUS review period"
you can download the message and shipping history
it's a zip file with the two csv's
you will the see which ones etsy thinks you are missing
..........
...etsy has been using photos in search for a while now, if your photos don't conform to he standards, they are less likely to be found in search, so you get less sales, so your shop quality score goes down, and you are ranked lower, so you lose more sales
they should be square, at least 2000px a side,
at the most, landscape 4:3
a lot of yours are portrait, so they will be losing ranking in search
Thank you for the images info. I’ll definitely get onto that.
ref star seller, etsy confirmed that I HAD achieved 100% for all three requisites, and for some reason it hadn’t updated.. I’ll try tech support again.
thanks again for taking the time.
you can download the csv yourself, it only takes a couple of minutes, then you can see what exactly etsy is counting and what they are not
it's more accurate then trying to get support to explain it to you

Thank you, I’ll have a read.
Just one thing. You have some expensive items in your shop. As a seller, you're not protected on Etsy for orders above $250 ($500 for November and December).

Thanks, yes I do, but… I’ve been on Etsy for 10+ years. And am very specific about my policies and insured delivery etc..,
TBH I wouldn’t expect any platform to indemnify me against loss. I’m surprised (and pleased) etsy have upped their threshold.
thanks for taking the time.
