I'm not a Star Seller for the second month in a row because of response to messages.  When I download the message Excel sheet, so many are missing making the percentage incorrect.  I called twice to no avail.  I have a very busy shop with many messages and sales, but only two messages show on the sheet in January for example but if you go into my messages, I received and answered many more which would have made my percentage much better.  Has anyone else had the same problem?

Do you not have the Auto Response message feature enabled?  Using this feature ensures you never miss a message ... it auto replies for you which counts for the Star Seller program.  Hope this helps!

Thank you so much.  I engaged the Auto Reply, but only can put it on for a week.  I guess I just keep updated it every week, right?

@TheScarabSeeker   You can use the continous one but you have to set up a schedule of when your shop is open.

It's all automatic.

It's all math. One missed response needs 19 quick replies to bring your percentage back up

Etsy WILL NOT and can not manually adjust your Star metrics.

Better luck next month.

I have not had that problem (yet). What @TBQSC mentioned re. setting up the "Auto Reply" until you get it all sorted out will help in ensuring you will not miss replying to a message. It's a hit or miss situation (replying promptly to messages) from what I've read in other forums.

only the message THREAD is counted as 1

if you have lots of messages in the same thread with the same person, it is only counted as 1

@TheScarabSeeker: "I have a very busy shop with many messages ..." Keep in mind that the Star Seller metric is NOT all new messages but only the first message of all new incoming threads. When you look at the file remember that that the dates / times are in UTC (not your time zone), only the first message of a new incoming thread is included (all that counts for Star Seller), and usually a new incoming thread is not included until after the 24 hour reply window has passed regardless of when you replied.
