Hi all!  I have met all the metrics for star seller and it hasn’t been awarded yet.  Is there a way to get this reviewed?

Hello, thanks for responding.  I thought the same thing.  My first sale was May 11, 2023.  I assumed that once August 11, 2023 rolled around then I would be granted the status but nope.  Any other possible thoughts?  Maybe you can only be granted status on the first of the month?

@Stage2Co: Star Seller is calculated only the 1st of the month and awarded on that day if you have meet all requirements during the preceding three month period.

Star seller is computerized do not apply common sense. When small items can be shipped without tracking to save buyers money this star seller program consider it as shipping’s tracking is not provided. Even buyers are happy to save money on shipping without tracking, This star seller do not understand the logic. Etsy is earning, sellers are happy and buyers are happy but star seller program consider it as a shipping not reached and shipping has no trachea number. If that is the case then Etsy should provide exception for below certain amount of cost you could ship without tracking. Finally buyers can provide bad rating when they do not receive the item after discussion with seller. None of the sellers would like dirty review.

They do if you list in a currency that has the exceptions.

Hello, my review period was supposed to end the 31st. I met all the requirements and now it has restarted to the 30th. Is it taking a while to update? Because I did the hard work so for this new month I should have the star seller on my shop. Thank you for looking to this!

Yes, it has changed to the 30th, of September.

The 1st of the month is when the stats change to the new Review period.

Which is now July 1st to September 30th.

To see if you got the badge Today, look at your Last Review Period Stats.

What you are seeing now is the review period for the October badge.

it is confusing, all of my stats were stuck 89 per cent for message and delivery, delivery as i was using a courier not trackable on etsy, but we have all been through that already with reserves etc, i was 4.8 reviews, that was stuck no matter how many good reviews or on time tracking etc, then on 1st changed to 100 per cent 4.9 and 100 percent, literally on the day but no badges, only the review badge for 4.9, it is confusing to see your shop changed in front of you over night to these stats and still not have the badges, so if have met this why do i have to wait another month for the badges as next chance to qualify, im not sure if its a glitch i have reached out to them but they are showing me the old stats, but these stats changed on 1st, so then im thinking so i must have had a lot of untracked items, but no not the case its simply etsy could not track with dhl to the usa from us, so even though tracking is up its not integral with aftership at that point.  so i can only use royal mail tracked for everything. click and send not at the post office, its the only way to get the tracking reliably updated, which means im paying double for postage around the world, smaller value items are just at a loss as i have the free postage guarantee to usa and with the dollar to pound strength means that my pound price when converted allows them tracking as the dollar is so high it exceeds the standard postage, so it looks like i have to either go with it or loose the free postage guarantee. in order the continue on the path for a star seller.

The stats changed on the 1st, because it changes to display the stats for the Next review period, for the next badge, in this case Oct 1st.

I understand that the stats change for the 1st, i have been selling on here for nearly 14 years, so im used to having to keep up with it all, its just a bit confusing when the change if huge in one days, on looking on 30th all of my stats for messages and tracking were 89 or 81 percent its a huge jump just in a day, i will only know if i calculate last review period myself, to see if there are any glitches, im sure it will make sense in the end

I am not sure is there some algorithm error or what? I have 100% message response rate, average rating 4,9 and 98% on time dispatch + tracking, but still did not received star seller, only 2 badges - rave reviews and smooth dispatch..... so what was a point to get 100% message response rate if still not awarded with 3rd badge and as result also no star seller.... my sales is more than 5 and more than 300 EUR too....:)

My focus is happy customer, as it always been, but it is very frustrated anyway....

@LithaCreations: "98% on time dispatch" Is this for the current period (October star) or the previous period (September star)? Have you checked the applicable CSV file from your Star Seller page to see what Etsy thinks is late or otherwise has something wrong with it? In particular make sure that *Had processing time?* = yes, *Ship by* has a date, *Tracking/label date* has a date, and *Shipped on time?* = yes.

Hi we just made the sale to make us a star seller this week. We've met all criteria except that the orders criteria has not updated. It was sitting on pending since we have 6 orders 1-2 weeks ago(the requirements is 5). We just fulfilled our 7th order yesterday, and working on order 8 and 9. Please advise. Thanks.

Star Seller is awarded at the beginning of the month. So you have a few days.  If you are eligible, you will have it October 1st.

@engravedbyliz: Keep in mind that Star Seller badges are only calculated and awarded on the first of the month using data from the previous three month period.

When was your first order? Was it less than 90 days ago? If its been less than 90 day then you arent eligible for star seller yet. It will say 'pending' until its been at least 90 days from first order.

First sale was made July 24. I was expecting the badge right after you meet the criteria. 90 days it is then, thanks for chiming in.

@engravedbyliz: 90 days after July 24 2023 is October 22 2023 so you will first be eligible for the November star and badges based on activity during August, September, and October.

I understand the 90 days period to earn the badge. On the other hand the Orders still say its pending despite having 7 (required 5 only) and it still says not there yet while the rest of the criteria are all checked off.

@engravedbyliz  it will remain pending until you reach 90 days from the date of your first sale.

My star seller status was taken away from me for October - supposedly was issued by mistake?  I've met all the criteria - what gives?  They say I didn't make enough, but below it says that I made $304 (minimum $300).  And I had 9 ordrfs (minimum 5) I'd put a screenshot here if there was a way to do it.
