My message count hasn't changed since October 17th. I have had several new messages since then and with the new month starting tomorrow, I am very worried my new messages won't be counted correctly. When will this update? If I miss Star Seller because of a technical issue, I will be very disappointed leading into the busiest month of the year.
As they state only the first message in the thread counts, subsequent back and forth messages under that first message don't count..I think.. If you had a new message with 6 replies it would count as one message not 7.
Download a CSV for your messages and see if any show you did not respond.
@ThespianSwagStore: As suggested, check the CSV file first. And when you say "new message" do you mean "first message of a new thread"?
Yes, I've checked the CSV file many times. Are only first time conversations being counted anymore? I have many repeat customers that I thought were counting towards these stats, but apparently not.
I'm so confused by how this system works, and I feel like it's always changing. Very sad that a personal situation that happened three months ago and caused me to reply one day late is going to stop me from getting the Star Seller. Also very disappointed that Etsy has zero ways to actually communicate with them.
It's always only been the first message of a thread, not every message thereafter. The only thing that's changed is they started grouping messages together, because people were complaining the customers were sending duplicate messages in multiple threads.
I have a customer that I've been working with for years. Because she always goes to our old thread to message me, even though it's been a year since the last message, the new messages won't count towards the metrics.
