Star Seller shipping stats wrong

Hello! My star seller shipping score is low..and it states I have 3 orders without tracking numbers. I enter a tracking number every single time I close out an order and have shipped every order way before the due date. How do I get this fixed?

  1. Pull a report and see what orders are an issue
  2. If you are manually entering the codes, something as simple as adding a space at the beginning or losing a number at the end can throw them off.  Double check those orders. 
  3. Check tracking and see if USPS actually scanned the codes on time.  If USPS delayed and the packages weren't scanned for a couple of days, you are basically screwed.  Etsy won't adjust it.
  4. If you entered codes incorrectly, you have 3 days, I believe, to correct issues.  After that, the tracking is locked and there is nothing to be done.  Etsy will not fix or change for errors on your part.
  5. If the codes are correct, and tracking shows accepted and movement, you can contact Etsy and give them the specific shipments and ask them to adjust it.  Occasionally things screw up.
  6. This is all based on US shipping.  Shipping from outside the US can have different issues that I won't address.

@BookDateFriend: What happens if you click on the tracking number link on the actual order? If it opens the courier's tracking page and shows the scan history then you have proof that the tracking information was entered correctly. In that case you should pursue it - while Etsy will not manually adjust Star Seller stats they can, in some cases, fix the underlying data and then the Star Seller stats will auto update (but not retroactively).

If that does not work and if the shipping company is supported by Etsy make sure that the shipped date, tracking number and shipping company show correctly on the actual order. Etsy relies on a third party vendor for tracking (and tracking number validation) and uses the data on the order.

As @bradgoodell points out, it may 'look' like you have tracking but an unsupported shipping company or invalid / unverified tracking number equals shipped without tracking.

It has been suggested to not mention Star Seller when contacting support about issues like this so your inquiry is not summarily brushed aside

Looks like 2 of the tracking numbers still say pre-transit thru USPS even though both customers have already received their packages. The rest say delivered and the date based on tracking.

Pre-transit is a problem.  Does it say pre-transit on USPS?

@BookDateFriend: An order still in "pre transit" usually means that the tracking information AS ENTERED cannot be validated.

Again - what happens if you click on the tracking number link on the actual order?
