Star Seller score (Re tracking info) was calculated incorrectly

I am a Star Seller and Proud of it. It hurts to loose your badge what seems to be a technical issue. 

Suddenly this morning we got a 'April Badge' notification that 11 orders are missing tracking info. Of course that is not correct. They all have tracking information. It seems that the order status pre-transit is from connection issues with the Dutch Postal Service POST-NL. If this is the case, it means that my shop will no longer earn a star badge as long as this issue will continue. What can I do about this?

Are you able to link an online account with Post-NL with your Etsy store? No idea whether that really helps, but if it’s something you can do that you haven’t tried already it may be worth considering.

I’m in the UK and here we can link a Royal Mail account so that when we buy postage on the RM website it automatically sends through the tracking info to Etsy.

Etsy has difficulty reliably picking up Royal Mail tracking and entering the tracking into Etsy manually seems especially problematic.

There are some sellers in the Netherlands who frequent the forums so hopefully they will be along soon and can help you out.

there was a thread a week or so ago, that said there was different post nl options, to choose from, when marking as dispatched, and if sending abroad, you had to choose a specific one, can't remember what it was, but it had additional word/words than just post nl

 

edited to add - went back and found it, you have to choose  PostNL International S3

Hi Heather, thank you so much, I saw that also and indeed it solves this issue going forward. But what can I do to solve the past and get  the badge? People always say it does not influence anything, but it just does not feel right.

Oh thank you so much. Unfortunately the Dutch Post does not support a link to Etsy. (Only Shopify). So a connection is not possible. Thanks for the help though! Have a greet week. Petra

I have the same issue with Post NL. Seems a bug that happens only with this carrier. 

I solve it also by using the S3 trick or changing carrier and saving a couple of times till it properly updates. 

But I am also loosing my star seller for this bug! And off course the Spam messages one.

Let's hope they fix it.

@PetraBoutiqueFinds Unfortunately, Etsy will not do anything! I suspect it is because the way the program is set up that it does not allow for any manipulation of data. I had an issue a while back where it said I didn't use tracking, but I purchased it on Etsy and it was in the system. After all was said and done they admitted it was a glitch in the program but that they couldn't change anything. So I missed out on a month of SS badge due to no fault of my own. So trust me, I know your pain.

@PetraBoutiqueFinds: A suggestion for the future - long before Star Seller was even thought of, we got into the habit of spending a few minutes daily checking the previous day's shipments to make sure that they were at least "in transit" so if something was wrong we could fix it within the 72 hour window we are allotted.

I have had this issue more than once. Most recently I'm in danger of losing my Star Seller Status because of "missing tracking information." By the time I was informed, the 3 day limit had passed. I use Stamps.com with USPS tracking and provided it to Etsy as I always do. It turns out that for some reason Etsy shows it as being shipped FedEx so the tracking # didn't match. My Stamps.com account is not connected to FedEx. Stamps.com records show it was shipped USPS Ground Advantage so I had no reason to be concerned. You're right - Etsy refuses to do anything to correct this even though I did everything right and the error is on their end.

If your etsy account is linked with stamps.com, it is stamps.com issue to fix

if you are marking it as complete yourself, you need to make sure you choose USPS, go back in afterwards, and double check

Stamps.com did everything right. All their records show it was shipped USPS. My only choices are USPS and UPS. FedEx is not an option.

fedex is an option for usa sellers

If etsy says it's fedex, and your stamps.com is linked to etsy,  stamps.com is sending the wrong info to etsy - whatever you chose
