Star Seller not seeing tracking numbers?

Tracking numbers clearly appear on my shipped orders, and have even been delivered in some cases -- yet Etsy is claiming I've not given tracking numbers.,.. what gives? How to resolve?

@MitchellGeography: If the shipping company is supported by Etsy make sure that the shipped date, tracking number and shipping company show correctly on the actual order. Etsy relies on a third party vendor for tracking (and tracking number validation) and uses the data on the order.

What happens if you click on the tracking number link on the actual order? If it opens the tracking page and shows the scan history then you have proof that the tracking information was entered correctly.

Does the actual order show as at least "in transit"? Has the package been scanned? Sometimes a tracking number cannot be validated until after the first scan is publicly available. A order still in "pre transit" usually means that the tracking information AS ENTERED cannot be validated.

Thanks @BagmakerSupply  for your thoughts/explanations -- all my orders are shipped via USPS, all tracking #s entered correctly. When clicking through the USPS link for the tracking number on my dashboard order list, indeed the USPS tracking all looks good and as expected. Yet when downloading the shipping history on the star seller page, two orders don't have a tracking number!

I got on the Etsy help chat and identified this discrepancy within their own system, the agent concurred all my orders had tracking and claimed they would update their records. (I don't know if the agent actually had the ability to do that, but that's what they wrote).

Still yet, I didn't earn star seller for April because of the glitch... so I guess that's that. Which is malarky, as I often ship same day... guess I needn't bother.

USPS did seem to add some digits to their tracking #s, at least for ground shipping it seems. Also NW Washington orders tend to have bizarre tracking I've noticed through my Squarespace site too (I'm in the NW and send a fair amount that direction)... so maybe those issues contribute?

@MitchellGeography Check to see if the company you're shipping with is listed on Etsy. When I ship to a customer in my country with a courier that is not listed the order cannot be tracked.

It's USPS, i.e. the United States Postal Service. I use USPS' Click N Ship to generate shipping labels.

@MitchellGeography This happened to me last month with a couple tracking numbers - they were there, but the CSV report said "no" for tracking. I saw a couple other sellers who posted they had the same issue. 

Contact Etsy Support. Let them know the orders that show up on your report as no tracking and ask that they correct. They can't do it right over the phone but they will refer to a team who can fix. 

I contacted Etsy Support last month and when I ran my report just now, everything shows as having tracking, so they (some team within Etsy) corrected it.
