Messages have not been updated since June 18. It is June 29. I’m sitting at 94%. If you don’t record my new messages, how am I to achieve 95%? I did not make SS for June - because of 1 message - because the customer said her Etsy account had been hacked and requested that I contact her at her email address, which I did. Etsy - get it together. My sales have not increased because of SS status. They are steady with or without. This is the last time I’m even going to try.

@PalmettoDriftwood: "If you don’t record my new messages ..." Have you checked the applicable CSV file from your Star Seller page to see which messages are missing? Remember when you look at the file that dates and times are in UTC (not your time zone), only the first message of a new incoming thread is included (all that counts for Star Seller) and generally a new thread will not appear until after the 24 hour reply window has passed.
You must reply to ALL messages or mark as spam.
Should probably start a thread where every seller messages the one under them, fix this nonsense requirement.

You still needed to reply. Etsy is not going to spend time checking messages to see if they should be answered or not.
Check the CSV file. If messages were answered through the notes area or for a refund, they don't count as they are not linked completely with the main message system.
Are the messages tagged as new or are they messages related to older messages.
If they are truly brand new that you answered, contact Etsy
Oh and today and tomorrow don't count for July's SS.
SS status is not really affecting sales. It is possible to find only SS sellers in search but it has nothing to do with placement in search as a whole. The importance of the program is that Etsy can see if you are performing customer service as they require. Doesn't matter what customer service you or I think is best. For Etsy is is what they think is the most important.
I did respond. Both by email and by messages, the next day but out of the 24 hour slot. My complaint is that the messages stop being recorded around the 25th of the month. There are 3 messages starting on the 25th that have not been recorded in my stats.
