Etsy has taken out seller badge due to faulty message response time. Since we have had an issue with this, our percentage keeps declining for no reason. Etsy has no explanation other than it's a seller issue.
More explanation needed about faulty response time? Are you not responding within 24 hours? Are messages ending up in spam? You need to check the spam folder at least once a day. Buyers don't realize that sending the same message to multiple sellers has their messages ending up in spam.
I don't see the other badges either. Etsy has been playing around with display so it might be the badge now only shows if all criteria is met. And not showing when it is partially met.
Just one thing, saying United States instead of where you are located is very suspicious to many. I suggest adding your actual location. If you have trouble doing so, Brave browser works well for this.
Yes, I wish Etsy would announce to sellers when it is "playing around with display" of badges. I am totally frustrated with the star seller system as well as the individual badges that Etsy has been/is using.
@FairLadyofVerona Once upon a time, Etsy let sellers know about some of the tests they were doing. That lasted maybe a year, then they decided to go back to testing on the DL. Now we figure it out based on who's bitching about the latest "change" here in the forums. LOL!
I wish there was an opt out for the star seller, it's just plain irritating. If no one messages you, you lose the Speedy Replies badge, it's ludicrous.
if you have no messages, it doesn't affect star seller, you still get it
and they don't show individual metrics any more
you have the star seller star
@TrinketDrawersUK I rarely get a message. Months can go by when I don't get an Etsy message. And I get Star Seller every month (the only time I didn't was when I accidentally forgot to reply to someone within 24 hours ... and that wasn't even transaction-related, which really ticked me off!).
There is an opt out, just ignore it. Many very small shops like mine, despite having 100% on all three main requirements for SS, rarely get the badge because we simply don't sell enough to meet the $ amount needed (which is ludicrous because how much you sell has absolutely no bearing on how you treat customers).
I have only managed to get the badge 5 months in the 4 or 5 years it has been in place, and it makes absolutely no difference to my sales.
I opt out by just doing my own thing and ignoring it, it is not worth the stress.
@CraftyCornishMaids You get Star Seller but you don't get the Speedy Replies badge, if you haven't had any messages - it says "Keep going to earn the Speedy Replies badge" in your dashboard. That's the ludicrous part.
no-one gets any of the individual badges shown on their shop now
just the star seller badge
the rest are just stats for shop owners only to see, there are no badges attached to them any more, just stats and targets for us
download the csv, and you will see which one/ones etsy thinks you have missed the time on replying

remove the mystery spider listing
you can't sell mystery stuff here, the photo has to be exactly what you are selling, or it's not as described
Etsy took my star seller badge for messages because the customers message was in my SPAM folder. I had no clue it was even there until the customer reached out to me via email! Then try to talk to someone they want you to wait 44 minutes just to chat
Etsy does not remove star seller for any messages in spam
you must have moved it out of spam , replied outside of the window, and left it out of spam
...
don't use chat, they are outsourced, and can only read from the handbook, and quite often even don't get that right
ive also lost my star seller cause the response time thing ive only gotten 3 messages and responded to all 3 within 3 hours , and got time stamps to prove it
