Star Seller Tracking Info

To whom it may concern,

Our star seller rating is showing that 28 tracking numbers were not uploaded. This is false!  I ALWAYS upload the tracking number.  Yes, it's possible one or two may have slipped by. But I looked back and it appears that all tracking info was uploaded.  Please let me know the issue.

Yup.  They know about it but haven't given us an update in over a week.

If you contact Etsy support and have the delivered items the support rep will reset your account and mark the items as delivered. I know there are some people who have had problems getting through support but once you do they are really helpful. I went to the shipping tab on the support page and clicked need more help link and I was able to do a chat. I was using a third-party source integrated label company (I started using last year) to print the labels- last week when I went to print labels I had to re-integrate the website to use it and that is when the issue started. I started using Etsy labels again this week and so far the tracking updates show the next day instead of a few hours. I have been a seller with Etsy since 2007 the last few years have been a roller coaster of ups and downs with sales and glitches.

@sweetpeasartstudio2 Unfortunately contacting Etsy thru chat doesn't always work. I've contacted them three times and the affected orders have not been corrected. Now I just keep adding new orders to the case log.

@sweetpeasartstudio2 thank you for your comment! I followed your directions to get to the support chat (I had no idea this was a feature ) and my orders were fixed too. I hope other sellers have the same luck!

Is pirate ship synced yet with Etsy? or is it still a pre-transit issue? I switched back to Etsy labels, and I see the pre-transit all day, but it does update the next day. I did have to re-add the pirate ship, and that was when the issue started for me over a week ago. Once I started back with the Etsy labels, it seems to have been resolved.

@hbhill I am sorry to hear that you still are having no luck getting your account fixed. Keep trying each rep I spoke with has said something different regarding the issue. I was given a specialist one time because that rep said I needed one.

Etsy says they are working on it but it may not be only an Etsy issue.  If using Pirateship, you may need to remove and reload Etsy.  If using another service, there have been issues noted by others for quite some time.

Have you checked to see that the items have been accepted by USPS?  Are they in route to sort centers.  Post offices are short staffed and some are doing extra duty with closures happening so scans may not be happening at the beginning like it should.  After ship seems to depend on that acceptance scan to start the process.

@JDTotesnDolls I use PirateShip and it doesn't appear to be on their side. On one shipping day, I shipped 6 orders and 3 remain in a PreTransit status. Those 3 are affecting my star seller rating. All 6 had the tracking numbers on Etsy. All 6 were accepted by the Post Office and have been delivered. It appears to be hit and miss on Etsy's platform. Etsy's temp fix had the opposite effect. Now all my packages show PreTransit status.

Pirate ship is not the problem-- it is happening to labels Bought on ETSY too and other places.

They are items accepted by USPS and show delivered via USPS. But for whatever reason Etsy is glitching and not marking them all.. some are being marked and are ok but lots are not.

The customer can't leave feedback as the items show pre-transit.

I had no luck disconnecting/reconnecting in PS. It is an Etsy issue, this bug has been around a long time but never as widespread as this.

For those who didn't read the trick to jump start tracking, here it is and it worked for me:

1. Only can use for orders in-transit saying "pre-transit", not for already delivered.

2. Go into your order and manually change the last number in tracking, save.

3. Go back into your order and change the number back.

4. Wait a while.

I'm having the same issue. Orders that were delivered on time showing as pre transit. Star Seller showing those orders as no tracking??

I use Pirateship.  For me, this only appears to be happening with USPS orders.  All my UPS orders show tracking just fine on Etsy.  Is this known to be an issue with USPS specifically?

Yes, USPS only. This is the Etsy post regarding the issue. Unfortunately, their temporary fix seemed to make it worse; not better.

Thanks.  I just got off chat with them to fix my latest batch of orders that were screwed up.  At least customer service seems to be good about fixing the orders.  I feel bad for those folks with tons of orders needing corrected.

I reconnected my pirateship to etsy last week and it did not fix the situation. I then disconnected and then reconnected today and now all is fine. (right now) My star seller stats are back to 100% and my cvs is showing no errors. It can't hurt to try to reconnect again.
