I'm not sure this is the proper place to post my issue, but was directed to do so by Etsy Support, so here goes...
I recently reached out to Etsy support because I lost my Star Seller status because
1- I received a duplicate message where the customer sent the exact same question in 2 different threads. I responded to only 1 as the second was a duplicate message.
2- the customer asked a question in the first thread and then sent a message in a second thread asking me to disregard the first thread, so as per the customer request, I only responded to the 2nd thread.
I did not miss responding to any actual customer questions within 24 hours.
I have been penalized for responding to each of my customers questions in a far more streamlined and thoughtful fashion than sending an awkward response the each individual thread.
Etsy support encouraged me to turn on auto response, but I fail to understand how this would help as I have not had any issues with responding with in 24 hours. Also, it looks like auto response can be set up for a max of 5 days which is fine for vacation for not an every day solution...
I thought based on your recent email, this issue with multiple threads by the same customer within a short period of time was already being addressed?

No, it doesn't. Etsy is redoing its Star Sellers, so that messages will all be just one thread instead of the way it is now.

Every messages has to be answered. Those that don't need to be, just put into spam.

Re: Star Seller - auto messaging keeps turning off. Are any of you have this problem. Every time I look my auto message has been turned off.
