There is a bug in the star seller shipping tracking system. My stat says 96% shipping on time and the details downloaded says 100% of orders shipped on time. I always ship the same day or next day if it is a weekend and there is definitely a bug in the system. It doesn't affect my star seller rating this month since the bar is 95% but this is still unacceptable.
I have contacted seller support and the agent confirmed that I do indeed have a 100% shipping on time stat. Please address this ASAP Etsy Tech Dept.
I am having the same problem. Has your issue been resolved? They say the engineers are working on it.
I'm afraid what will happen if I get multiple orders and they continue to be recorded incorrectly.
I am being dinged for not shipping an order on tim... - Welcome to the Etsy Community
No it has not been resolved. I received an email that the engineers are still working on it. I don't know why it is taking this long. It's pretty upsetting.
I emailed them about this issue back in May having experienced it since this March, they took almost three full months to message back to tell me that engineers are "looking into it". My stat used to consistently be 100%, since the inception of the program. Now it sits at 85%; no star seller for months. They sure are taking their time about it.
As SS stats are going to start being tied to search placement, I hope they pull their *type delete* and at least fix SS data errors.
This is disheartening. It would be appreciated if they would manually fix the problem for affected sellers while investigating a global fix. Sellers shouldn't lose star seller status and rankings in search, etc. for a platform bug. If they are going to hold us to these high standards, then they need to ensure that the system works reliably. Etsy, are you listening?
We are affected by a faulty "message back within 24 hours" within the seller success stat system... The Seller stats system is broken. It would be one thing if it was just a nice little gold star system. But the fact is Etsy use it to actively rank stores and their products in the search results. Shoddy code therefore has a direct impact on our ability to compete equitably in the marketplace, and is unfairly ranking or de-ranking members. Etsy seem not to care much about fixing any of it as they don't put much effort into looking into any of it, as evidenced by use all being point to this forum...
The most laughable part of this all is being dropped from Stellar Seller for a reason that doesn't exist, and Etsy's own team, when reached out to for help on the matter not getting back to us for days, and then to only be given automated replies, and then partial answers...
@PomFlore Yes, it is totally broken. I wonder just how many sellers are affected by this right now. I wish they would chime in here and share their stories.
