Looking for Guidance on Listing Removals
Hi everyone! I’ve been selling on Etsy for over ten years, running my small woodworking shop, Central Coast Woodworks.

Every piece is made from scratch, and I’ve had the privilege of fulfilling thousands of orders, including hundreds of custom projects.
Recently, I’ve been facing an issue where some of my listings, which have garnered 100's of reviews, are being removed without explanation. Just some vague reference to it being against the creativity standards. These are items i make myself from scratch in my garage! I only have 6 listings to keep it simple. I’m confident there’s been a mistake. This is really frustrating, as my business aligns perfectly with Etsy’s original mission—handcrafted, unique products from independent creators.
Has anyone else experienced this? How can I effectively appeal these removals and get my listings reinstated?
I’d appreciate any advice or guidance on navigating this situation. Thanks in advance for your help!
Almost everyone is experiencing this. It seems that the Etsy bots are scanning other websites and if they find your product on the internet being sold anywhere else they think you are a reseller and take down your listing(s). Usually this is a case of the seller is also selling on another site like Amazon or eBay, etc. OR--more than likely some thief has stolen your photo and is using it elsewhere-if that is the case you need to contact that website and file a DMCA to get your photo taken down. It starts feeling like playing whack-a-mole!
I am really sorry; sounds like you are amongst the many Sellers getting snagged by AI bots. Your photos may have been stolen (do a reverse image search; if they are, file DMCA Takedowns and provide those to Etsy). Do you have any emails from Etsy regarding this? You know what bothers me about this garbage, the thieves have to prove nothing, while honest Sellers have to chase their tails, tracking down their photos and issuing DMCA Takedowns. It has been suggested to take new thumbnail photos of the stolen photos, but it can be never ending. I hope you get a resolution to this.
Most often this is happening because your photos have been stolen and are being used on other sites for counterfeit products. Etsy has seemingly only trained their bots to find and remove anything here they find somewhere else. While it has happened many times (too many to count), no one knows what's really going on as these posts are all being closed with a vague mention that it has been forwarded to a specialist.
Do a reverse image search on your delisted items to see where they are being copied. I did this on mine and found a seller on Alibaba who immediately took it down. Unfortunately, Etsy will be no help in this and it is unlikely you will get your listing activated again. I tried after multiple conversations with Etsy support.
Yup. Your 10" tortilla press is on Alibaba, looks like they took your exact photo.
Also your rings game looks like it's a design that many people make and sell and that is on Shein. The bots are first and foremost taking down anything found on wholesaler sites.
Do a reverse search and find out who is taking your photos then issue DMCA notices to the offenders. Etsy is now essentially considering you guilty unless you prove that you are the originator of your items. Too many removals, even though not your fault, and they'll close your shop.
Even if you prove they are your images, which I did, Etsy will do nothing.
I found your pictures on other sites. I can send you the link to them. Message me. I had to have my pictures removed from a Amazon seller a month ago.
It looks like you also have a store on Amazon with the same photos. The Etsy bots seem to target shops that have multiple stores also.
