Star Seller Removed Even Though I have the Needed Numbers?

Star Seller was Removed from my Account due to Reviews. I have 40 total reviews. 38 reviews were given between March 8, 2022- May 31, 2022. This should fall within the "3 month review period". 36 reviews are 5 stars.

36/38 = 94.7% which should qualify me.

Unfortunately, Etsy says I only have 32 total reviews that qualify. This doesn't make sense to me?

You got a 1 star review during the rating period.

Yes? Etsy says "We aren’t looking at an average of all ratings, only the percentage of ratings that have 5 stars."

So it shouldn't matter what star below 5 it is, if it's under 5 it all counts the same.

Couple of thoughts....

Star Seller calculations are based on UTC time zone. That means that some reviews on the last day of the month may be counted as the first day of the next month. If those reviews dated the 31st were left after it turned midnight in UTC time zone then they would technically be counted as dated June 1st not May 31. I only mention this because I had the exact same issue in one of my other shops and went round and round with support about it until a supervisor finally told me it was due to time zone issue and the review in question came in after midnight in UTC time. Perhaps that is what's happening since you have 3 reviews dated on the 31st.

That is a good thought! If that were the case though, that would mean I have 35 reviews in their "review period" based on Etsy's time zone. But they are only acknowledging 32. So that math still doesn't add up.

Also, at least one of those from the 31st should make the cut no matter the time zone because it was early in the day.

I'm counting 35 in current period, 37 in previous period (June 1st review, and 2 before March).

36/38 is 94.7 but it won't round up.

35/37 ( 1 1 star review and a 4 star review in may) is 94.5, which still isn't 95%.

But I don't know why it's only counting 32.

Etsy rounded up on my other badges since they weren't perfectly even percentages - I'm not sure why they wouldn't round up or down to the nearest whole number for this one as well.

My thoughts exactly, but another thread seemed to point out it doesn't.

If it's only counting 32 for last period? then 30/32 is 93.7, which would round to 94%

*edit 32 reviews in last period, would stop before the may 29th review. Etsy is notorious for missing the last couple of days, which would indicate it is only counting 32 reviews, 30 of which are 5 star meaning a rounded up % of 94

Why do they even say the review period is up until the 31st if they are going to miss the last few days? You would think they would just cut it off earlier if that's the case. I am already going to assume that they are taking off my May 31st reviews due to the UTC time zone, but Etsy's math of 32 reviews still doesn't add up. Even if I do not get the Star Seller badge, accuracy in their numbers is important.

You have 2 less than 5 stars. It takes 19-5star reviews to counter 1 less than 5 stars. So you need 38 5-star reviews to get the badge. Sorry.
