I have checked all the boxes over the last 3 months and have been watching stats closely. I should have the designated star seller status for July based on the customer service stats in my shop. There are no violations of policy etc.
Also, for some reason, you have my shop designated as "Post Crafter". I am a Vintage Seller. Not sure why my shop is also now mistakenly designated as a craft shop.
@AnnaLeesAttic: The "Post Crafter" is based on your forum activity only https://help.etsy.com/hc/en-us/articles/4411944634775-What-are-Etsy-Community-Ranks-and-Badges
You are missing the Messages badge. You need to check the applicable CSV file on your Customer Service page (previous review period for July 1st badges and star) to see what Etsy thinks was not answered or marked as SPAM within 24 hours.
I have been missing the Messages badge since the 1st of the year despite my customer service showing 100% response rate and within the targeted time period. I have been diligent to make sure of this since I reopened my shop after a long vacation.
I reported a SPAM message to them months ago and copied it in my . No response.
Sales are up
shipping is fast
responses are there.
Very frustrating.
Did you reply to a message late or, like me, didn’t get any?
... or, like me, didn’t get any?
Not getting messages does not mean you don't get the SS badge.
It started out that way, but after some time Etsy changed it as they agreed it was not fair to those who never or rarely get messages.
For a long time, I didn't receive any messages which they "say" should not affect your status.
For this previous 3 month period of April-June, I've responded to messages within their required time frame in order to have 95% response time.
My "Speedy Replies Badge" is missing when it definitely shouldn't be. I downloaded the CSV of messages to see what was going on.
I was 1 hour late on 1 reply in 3 months. I was out of town for my anniversary and missed the 24 cutoff on a Sunday. HOWEVER, a whole bunch of first time customer replies are NOT included for some unknown reason. If they were, I'd easily be past the 1 out of 20 message late limit.
In those conversations, it says "This buyer hasn't messaged you before" and they are older than 3 days (apparently there's this weird, the last 2 days might not count for that month policy - but this isn't from that).
I'm annoyed. Etsy does not care at all about things like this. Zero effort on their part to fix things. Really glad I have my own website to someday ditch it.
@DigitalTableTops: "... apparently there's this weird, the last 2 days might not count for that month policy ..." The policy is that a new incoming thread is not included until after the 24 hour reply window has passed regardless of when you actually replied, and when factoring in that Star Seller stats are in UTC (not your time zone) some new Message threads don't get included until the next month.
Apparently, they have changed how and where you can download the CSV messages to check on this from their data (outside of my messages).
Mine is in the usual place:
Shop Manager > Customer service stats > Message Response Rate > Download Message History
