I suddenly dropped from a 100% to an 88% for not providing tracking information on a product that clearly counted before as including tracking information but now is counting against me. The product has had the tracking information from the start and has been in transit. It shows all this information on the order when I click into it. Only thing I can see is the post office messed up and took it beyond it's destination and is for some reason in MO instead of IL. The information on the tracking is correct and is USPS provided from a pirateship label. Is there any way to resolve this? It's going to cost me my star seller status for December as I cannot make up the percentage difference in 2 days time. TIA.
Hello @WickedFunCrafts,
We've double-checked your Star Seller for the previous month(September 1–November 30, 2022) and it appears that you have 100% for the On-Time shipping. Please know that when you shipped an order ahead of its ship-by-date, the CSV file may be updated when the actual ship date arrived.
Also, we understand that things can happen that are outside a seller’s control, like shipping carrier delays. Because of this, we made sure that most of what constitutes on time shipping is within a seller’s control, like adding a valid tracking number, using a shipping label purchased on Etsy, and shipping within your stated processing time. If the carrier is delayed, but you’ve provided a valid tracking number(tracking events are showing on Etsy) or purchased a shipping label on Etsy and shipped within your processing window, then your on time shipping will not be negatively impacted.
Thank you very much!
@HCcraftsTreasures: "All my shipments have a tracking number ..." Does the actual order show as at least "in transit"? Has the package been scanned? Sometimes a tracking number cannot be validated until after the first scan is publicly available.
If the shipping company is supported by Etsy make sure that the shipped date, tracking number and shipping company show correctly on the actual order. Etsy relies on a third party vendor for tracking (and tracking number validation) and uses the data on the order.
An unsupported shipping company or invalid / unverified tracking number equals shipped without tracking.
There's nothing you nor Etsy can do.
As long as you shipped on time and the tracking showed up as shipped on time, I wouldn't think a delayed package would count against you.
Are you 100% sure it's that package and not a package you maybe shipped late?
Example, you had an order with the ship date on Thanksgiving, Veteran's Day, or Columbus day and you shipped the following day.
If so, those orders were counted as late shipping.
It was shipped on time, it's dinging for missing tracking info. I downloaded the csv and the order ID tied to the no flag is one with shipping information attached. No late orders sent out. No missing tracking. Just suddenly dinging as it's not there when before it flagged as it was. The order was made 2 days ago and shipped out yesterday.

May I ask you a question? So today I dropped off 4 packages at the PO and the tracking numbers all say:
Delivery status information is not available for your item via this web site."
Will I get dinged for Star Seller if the tracking doesn't update in time? I have a receipt showing that the packages were dropped off at the PO and scanned within my shipping window.
I have 3 shippings that I’m dinged for because it says it’s missing tracking number. All my shipments have a tracking number and say completed yet it still says I’m missing 3.
Help please!

Sounds almost like you were punished for NOT using Etsy labels. Doesn’t it?
Hmm..
BUT
My supporters rallied together and flooded me with sales to help correct the percentage difference on the chance etsy's mess up didn't correct itself in time. I'm very grateful to them. We found our own solution just in case haha.
The lesson here may be not to ship anything during the last two days of the month if you want the badge and aren't using Etsy labels.
If the orders show up as "no" until the packages are scanned, the scan shows up on Etsy's tracking system (which is usually delayed) AND you need to wait 24 hours for the CSV to update, then shipping anything within that time frame is risky.
I would have had a better score waiting until Dec 1 to ship things than shipping them on Nov 29 or 30, as long as the ship-by date was Dec. 1 or later.
I'd be happy to be proven wrong on this. This is the first time I've noticed that all my orders were marked as "no" even with valid tracking numbers. It was temporary, but temporarily incorrect.
The package that flagged was already in transit and scanned multiple times though. It was showing all of that on etsy when clicking into the order. It had already been on the csv as yes and then changed to no the next day.
Oh gosh. It shouldn't change from yes to no for any reason. If you shipped on time, you shipped on time.

[oops i replied to main on accident haha]
That's why I came on here like?!?!?! Hello??!? Because it was ordered the 26th @ 2am & I shipped it out later that day. It was scanned in at the post office the 26th @ 7pm. Then on the 27th it dinged as no, leaving me with only 2 days to correct it or find a solution, which is mad. They didn't even respond until the window for star seller was over..
