Hi all!
By midnight, November 30th, I had responded to all messages in a 24 hour period which brought my rate up to 100%. It did not show until today December 1st though. Has anyone else experienced this? Can someone please explain why I did not receive the Star Seller badge?
Thank you!!
Love & Blessings,
Taylor
@SolSeedCrystals: Messages are counted by the date that they 24 hour reply window closes, not when you replied to it. Etsy uses UTC for Star Seller stats not your time zone, so what is November 30 to you may be December 1 to Etsy.
download a CSV for your messages and look to see which ones the system is flagging.
What I have noticed is the metrics don't update update until a day or two after they have occurred. So if something happens right at month end, the chances are it won't be counted until the following months metrics. That could mean a seller might lose the badge when they should not have but it could also mean a seller might keep the badge when they should not have. That lag in the updating goes both ways. For me as a buyer it is another reason not to trust in the star seller metrics because they might not reflect the current state of a seller's customer service. The seller's service might be better than the star seller status or might be worse.
i noticed that everything is in etsy time.
so it would have to be by 9pm in california.

I never count on anything after the 28/29th to factor into star seller. Unless it's a negative thing against you in which case it will update in time. lol
