Greetings! I'm thrilled to share that in March, my store proudly earned the prestigious title of Star Seller, as conveyed in a recent email notification. However, I've noticed that the corresponding icon is not currently displayed on my store page. For your reference, my store can be found at https://21magicwands.etsy.com.
Warm regards, Olga Sao Miguel.
If they didn't get the number or dollar amount, then they wouldn't qualify for any of the badges. Since they have 2 of the badges, that means they had enough sales to be eligible.
Not sure why you would have been notified that you got it, you don't have the review badge.
You had 3 reviews in the review period, 2 5-stars and 1 4-star. That's an average of 4.6 (4.7 if they round, but I don't think they do). You need an average of 4.8 or better.
I kept the badge for several months in a row. It’s strange that because of one unfounded 4-star review it was removed. Immediately after the sale, I wrote a thank you note for the purchase and offered a discount coupon for half a year, the product was shipped ahead of schedule and arrived on time, the quality absolutely matches the photo, it was exactly the same thing as in the photo. At the same time, in a letter from Etsy I was congratulated on receiving a star in March...
"It’s strange that because of one unfounded 4-star review it was removed."
It's not strange, it's basic math.
In the 3 month review period you got 3 reviews.
14 total stars
Divided by 3, the amount of reviews
=4.6
It needs to be 4.8 or better to keep that badge and qualify for the star.
You may have missed the criteria for number and dollar amount of sales. You are missing the review star and it looks like you only have 3 qualifying reviews in the 3 month period and one was 4 star so that is probably it.

This month Etsy sent out a bunch of inaccurate emails telling shop owners they earned the Star, when they, in fact, had not.
Looking at your shop, you are missing the Reviews badge.
You only have 3 Reviews for the period 01 Dec to 29 Feb (Qualification period for SSP Badge awarded 01 March)
One is 4 Star
14/15*100 = 93.33%
Review metric qualfiier for SSP is 96% or 4.8
I took a look at your store.
Wow ... those clothes are impressive. Love Ken's coat and those fur hats.
Sorry that you didn't get the badge because of a 4-star review. 4-stars have always bothered me a bit because they're technically a positive review ... but not positive enough to jiggle the math a wee bit more. And some buyers just don't give 5 stars. Frankly, if I'd designed the rating system, I'd come up with a way to prevent 4-stars from preventing a rave reviews badge, especially for shops like yours with predominantly 5-stars over the life of the store.
Thanks everyone for the explanation. Now I know how these “buns” are calculated
Sorry you got hit with the incorrect email and got your hopes up! At least it should make sense now when looking at it, and may help you know what you need to get it back in the future. Since Etsy sent all those erroneous emails out, it's not impossible they'd get something else wrong, so always good to know how to double check yourself.
