Hi All,
I got a notice saying "We’re creating a smoother experience by making Etsy Payments the standard way to get paid... your shop will be closed on August 5."
Is there is a way to solve this problem knowing that Etsy Payments is not supported in my country?
Unfortunately there is not. Etsy is working on making Etsy payments available in more countries, but guess that would take time. Unless your country is on the accepted list for Etsy Payments or Payoneer, your shop will be closed.
I have been working on Etsy since 2018. I work full-time on Etsy, and it is my only source of income. Right now, I am extremely worried about this situation.
Payoneer is available in my country, and I actively use it. However, my country is not listed under the Payoneer option on Etsy. As a result, my shop is set to be closed on August 5th. This decision by Etsy is truly heartbreaking for sellers like us.
In my opinion, Etsy should allow shops to remain open by enabling the option to connect Payoneer bank accounts. Etsy has the capability to make this possible. At the very least, sellers who already have Payoneer accounts could be allowed to continue operating their shops. This would benefit both Etsy and the sellers.
Since I have been working honestly and consistently on Etsy for many years, I believe Etsy should consider giving shops like mine an opportunity to continue.
I have been a dedicated Etsy seller since 2015, working full-time on the platform. Etsy is my sole source of income, and I am deeply concerned about the current situation.
While Payoneer is available and widely used in my country, my country is not listed under the Payoneer option on Etsy. As a result, my shop is scheduled for closure on August 5th. This decision is heartbreaking for sellers like me who rely entirely on Etsy for their livelihood.
I respectfully urge Etsy to consider allowing sellers to connect their existing Payoneer accounts, especially in countries where Payoneer is accessible. This would enable shops like mine to continue operating and would be mutually beneficial for both Etsy and its sellers.
Having worked honestly and consistently on the platform for many years, I hope Etsy will recognize the value of supporting long-standing sellers and offer a path for us to remain active on the platform
I get that they wont support Paypal, but what happen with the hundred options to be paid, like payonner for example. They at least should let you add another choice different from paypal
