Speedy Replies badge

Hi,

I am apparently not meeting the speedy replies customer service badge.  In the current review period it states I have had no messages.  This is not correct - I have had two messages in this review period, both of which I replied to in under one hour.  It says the data is updated every 24 hours but nothing has been updated.  I find Etsy beyond frustrating at times!  Can anyone help explain this?  Thanks

@GardeningforKids: "... I have had two messages ..." Were the two Messages the first Message of a new incoming thread? That is all that counts for Star Seller (and for Customer Service Standard).

"I am apparently not meeting the speedy replies customer service badge." What percentage are you showing? If it is '--%' (nothing to calculate) then it will not prevent you from getting Star Seller, just the speedy replies badge.

Yes it is the --% symbol.  I thought you had to get all three badges to be a star seller?

A 100% digital shop with no new Message threads could conceivably qualify for Star Seller based on reviews alone.

Don't know if this applies to you, but usually a new incoming thread is not included until after the 24 hour reply window has passed regardless of when you replied and that Star Seller stats (and the CSV file) seem to be updated only once per day so there may be an additional day's delay.

@GardeningforKids   They need to be brand new messages.  Not messages from a previous message.

You can still qualify for the star if you don't receive any messages in the review period. Help Center has more info here. https://help.etsy.com/hc/en-us/articles/4403058372503-How-to-Become-a-Star-Seller?segment=selling

specifically this bit...

"What if I haven’t received any messages in the current review period? 

If you don’t receive any messages during the review period, the message response rate won’t be counted towards your Star Seller eligibility. You can still become a Star Seller based on the other Star Seller criteria...."

Hi,

Thanks for explaining, that reassures me about the star seller.  The last message was 2 days ago though, and my stats still show --% symbol for speedy replies.  Hope it updates correctly soon.
