Hello,
Next to my 'old' Etsy-shop, I have opened a new shop specially for some of my items and of course I receive lots of spam in my inbox on Etsy.
Not fun of course but every new shop have to deal with this.
But what I don't understand: I also receive spam in the emailbox that I specially set up for this new shop. (Which is also my login)
This email sender is for example: etsy@myseccyor-784341. site (so it's not an email from Etsy saying there's something in your inbox)
How does this person got to know my email address that I use to sign in on my new Etsy-shop??? I thought Etsy never shares your emailaddress.
In my 'old' shop I also receive spam in my inbox but never directly in my email.
Anyone a clue?
Thanks,
Danny !
Etsy does not share your email address.
Thank you NanaLetha,
I know, I'm on Etsy for years and I never had such issues.
But this mailaddress is specially made for this shop and never been used before.
And very shortly after opening of the new shop I received those spam emails, so there must be a way to find out the emailaddress of an Etsy Shop. But I don't know how.
@Feisters: Does the shop have trader information displayed, which by EU regulations must include your eMail address?
As an aside, if you have multiple shops, are you aware that "you must list all the shops you run in the Public Profile section of each account."? See https://help.etsy.com/hc/en-us/articles/360017604474-How-to-Open-a-Second-Shop-on-Etsy?segment=selli... Etsy seems to be cracking down on technical violations.
I'm setting up this shop so there's not yet any trader information displayed.
The shop is also in Vacation Mode because I still needs to add the listings.
(Means I only have one shop now - once both are open, of course this will be mentioned in my public profile, as needed.)
