Didnt reply to spam messages and nownim not eligible... How does that make sense
You can try putting them into spam now and depending on how old they are, it might change your messaging %.
Hi, Do you mean not eligible for Star Seller? If so, we are supposed to Mark all Messages as Spam (or Respond to them, which you don't want to do with spammers). I'm really sorry you were targeted by a scammer, but the thing to do each time is Mark the Message as Spam.
Hope this helps you.
I did mark them as spam after the 24hrs but it doesnt help me
@StreetStyleOutfits I see, so it was later than the 24 Hr. period, and you were dinged for it. That stinks (especially due to the fact that it was from a scammer).
@StreetStyleOutfits: "How does that make sense" Sense does not come into it, just the rules that Etsy published. The Star Seller metric for messages is very simplistic and binary - either you replied to (or marked as SPAM) that first message of a new incoming thread within 24 hours or you did not.
"I did mark them as spam after the 24hrs but it doesnt help me" If the unanswered new thread is not a Help Request, at least for the time being marking an unanswered new thread as SPAM (even after the 24 hour deadline has passed) will cause your reply percentage to change in a day or two if the original message was within the current star seller period (but not retroactively). Star Seller stats (and the CSV file) seem to be updated only once per day so there may be an additional day's delay.

Good idea!
ive had exactly the same issue, i received a spam email into my inbox and because i haven't moved it into my spam folder quick enough I've lost my star seller!!
@OutoftheboxByMelissa: eMails are not counted for Star Seller, just Etsy Messages.
You can check the applicable CSV file on your Star Seller page to confirm which Message Etsy thinks was not answered (or marked as SPAM) within the 24 hour reply window.
As suggested you can try to see if the old workaround still works = if the unanswered new thread is not a Help Request, marking an unanswered new thread as SPAM (even after the 24 hour deadline has passed) used to cause your reply percentage to change in a day or two (but not retroactively) if the original message was within the current Star Seller period. BUT BE WARNED that according to Etsy "You won’t receive any new messages from that member, and they’ll be unable to reply to messages in an existing thread." https://help.etsy.com/hc/en-us/articles/360000343128-How-to-Handle-Scams-and-Suspicious-Messages
If you do try the workaround please let us know if it was successful, but remember that any change to the stats will not be immediate.
