Spam message

Sorry but there is no category that covers this problem so I am posting here. 
I recently received a spam message and hope there is a way for Etsy to ban this acct / phone number. 
the message reads as follows:

[This content has been removed by Moderation. We ask that you please review Section 1, Item 1 of our Community Policies before posting in the Forums.]

why on earth would anyone hand their shop over to anyone else let alone a scumbag such as this scammer?!

You shouldn't, names and such are not allowed, and you also should edit your OP above, as it gives personal phone # info which is not allowed here.

If you don't edit it, the mods will do it for you.

I have a SCAM message. Etsy help says to mark it as spam. To me, it's not the same thing. I'm not even finished setting up my store and I get this bulls**t. 

To whom and how do I report this scammer?

I think every on line selling site is having the same problem, not just Etsy. As long as people keep falling for it the scammers will keep sending them.

I have had that one the one with the hand your store over, and all over xmas the one where they want to buy half your shop and send you a dodgey link, trust no one is the best and just ignore the stupidity of it all. Can't seem to mark mine as spam, I'll have to look at that

Are you using the app to try to spam it?  The new and improved app does not have that feature, you need to go to the Etsy site on line.

The simplest way to resolve is to have a spam filter on messages on Etsy

Hello All. Just wanted to say that I too have recieved this same Spam Message today, ie; allow us to have remote access to your Shop for $30.00

I guesss it's one of the many pitfalls associated with selling online.
