Not sure what to do here. I sold an item a few days ago, had a message pop up on my screen and got the chi - Ching. The item is showing in my sold section but no order and no payment. The item has disappeared from my inventory just like it normally does if I sell something.
I suspect it's maybe processing but I have received no messages saying an order is processing. Can't exactly relist it if someone has indeed bought it.
Has similar issues before but they are usually just very temporary, this got "sold" almost 3 days ago, the client is probably wondering why it's not being shipped
Well that is strange, if it was sold out you should of been able to renew it.
If it was inactive you should have been able to copy it, then publish. Not need to recreate the whole listing from scratch
" The item is showing in my sold section but no order and no payment"
then just go there and relist the item.
why are you making a new listing for it?
are you saying etsy deleted a cancelled order?
The sold listings in the sales list, not the order page, there is no order there associated with the item. There is no spot anywhere in that list to renew
Yes Etsy sort of deleted that order, I never received the order to begin with, and received no communication. The only spot it shows is when you click on my 813 sales and see what's sold . It's still there with 5 people having it in thier basket
what does sort of deleted mean?
just forget about everything else... it does not matter if you see it in your sold orders... it only matters that you can see it... and you can see others have it in their cart which means the listing was not deleted.
if you can see it... click on it... and then renew it.
sort of deleted means it was sold but Etsy never gave me an order or communication. I believe your wrong, I don't see an option anywhere to renew from the store sales history, if I had an order I could renew I've done that before
Perhaps you think I'm referring to my order history, I didn't receive an actual order from Etsy so it's not in that list. The only place it shows is the list of sold items at the top of your shop page, usually you have an option to show that to the public or hide it. Mine is currently showing 813 sales. I can find the item in that list I can read the description and view the photos, but there is no option anywhere to renew because it's not on an order screen
sometimes I am dumb.
was it this listing?
I can see 5 people have it in their carts.
when you click on that link... are you saying at the top there are no words saying edit, renew, blah blah?
what does it say?
What about renewing from the listings page in ship manager?
yes exactly, there are no way to edit or renew, and yup that's the listing alright.
If it was in my order page it would be no problem. It's not the end of the world, I have put up the listing again, but it took me about 15 minutes instead of the 4 seconds it should have.
Also kind of annoying I had to call Etsy and find out what's happening and get a refund for the listing
Spent a lot of time on a sale that was no sale LOL
not familiar with this ship manager you speak of, but I assume If it's got to do with shipping it would need an order attached to it
a typo? shop manager.
@PurityGems : Sorry it was a typo. Replace ship manager with shop manager
Oh and don't call yourself dumb, we are all just human beings, and communication with a written forum is much harder than other forms. Sometimes I loose my sense of direction when out on the town, none of us are perfect or mind readers
yes there was nothing in shop manager anywhere to renew. Normally if you have an order or even a cancelled order it will show in your shop manager under orders, but this time there was no order associated with the item, due to an Etsy technical error
This is if you are on a Laptop, Desktop, or using a web browser on a device (ex. Tablet) and have checked off the Desktop version (Don't Use the App)
You go to LISTINGS, and can choose to look at Active, Expired, Sold Out, Drafts, or Inactive. You go to Sold Out, where you will find your listing. Click on the listing title to go into the listing, in the bottom right you can choose to renew.
I had something similar earlier in the year but it did have "pending" along with a message somewhere saying don't ship until the sale has finished clearing, or something similar.
After a few days the item appeared back in my shop and all trace of the "sale" disappeared. So I'd wait.
@CuriosAnCollectibles : You should check the completed tab on your orders and shipping tab to make sure it is there and appropriately marked; in case there was a glitch somewhere.
