Shop not syncing with Square

So back in June, I set up my square account, synced no problem, easy peasy. I have two in person events coming up and obviously need to revamp my inventory due to new additions and what have you. Every time I hit the sync button, though, I'm told it's failed... Any suggestions for this? Should I disconnect my square and re-connect or will that wipe all the listings I have on there (square) already? If worse comes to worst and I can't sync it, can I just make separate listings on my square and still have those sales count for my shop even if they're not technically synced?

@chiaroscurosity I had an issue like this earlier this year; the sync to Square button in listings wasn't working, but there's another way to sync under Sales Channels in Shop Manager. The listings sync button eventually worked again the next time I tried it. Sometimes, it says that the synchronisation failed on Etsy but when you open your Square app, it's synced.  That's what happens most of the time with mine.

Nothing works and I don't know why. I'm about to switch to square all together
