My shop has somehow gone,
Someone logged into my account from Ohio, USA
I changed my password - and asked etsy what format my mobile phone number should be for 2 step authentication
they thought about it for a couple of days, and have come back and said to reset my password again, which I have done, and everything was fine until about an hour ago
then I have an e-mail saying
An Etsy admin has unlinked the bank account connected to your Etsy shop, CraftyCornishMaids.
so I tried to go back in, to re-authorise, and I get the "uh oh", so basically, I don't exist
it looks like I am a buyer only account, my shop has gone
not sure even how long I can post in the forums.
I have replied to the "unlinked bank account" e-maail,
but any suggestions are welcome
@cindylouwho2 or @FancyTogs or @Spellbinderie not sure if you have anyideas
... edited to add, I "was" CraftyCornishMaids" - I seem to be now just a username
Hi Heather,
I'm very sorry to see this, and for the frustration and worry caused. I've escalated this matter to an account specialist, who will be in touch directly and will help with reopening the shop. As this will be addressed with you directly, I'll close up this thread with my best wishes. Thanks to all of you who offered help and assistance!
OMG, this is awful! I am so sorry. I thought stuff like this only happened to people who were inactive on their stores!
Nope, I have an order only about 3 hours ago, for shipping to USA, but have the e-mail, so will post it off, whatever etsy does.
I caught the login within about 10 minutes of it happening, (about 2 days ago now) I think my biggest problem was actually letting etsy know ... they have just decided to do something, in response to my ticket.... which has no affect on whoever tried to log in - just me
Can you try to reach Etsy help for buyers and explain your situation? You may want to use a different computer in case the other one was hacked.
#$%#!
try a call back (which will probably only help escalate): https://help.etsy.com/hc/en-us/requests/new?segment=selling&fbclid=IwAR3XJULkao3ZPR8XcOEf2A7143n87Xt...
Just in case someone has faked the Etsy admin email, their next step may be to erase your listings and add their own. If you haven't recently downloaded your listing csv, start saving all the caches you can think of. Looks like Google has already removed the main page cache; I will try to save what I can for you, as you are likely kinda busy...
If you had outstanding orders, you may want to contact your buyers from the transaction email & let them know you are fine and their order will still be sent.
I have asked for a call back - and the message says they will .... it's already23.39, so whenever they call back, will probably wake up the whole house!
I have 1 order outstanding , and I have the e-mail confirmation and address for that, so that will go off
don't worry about my listings, I only had a few, I was down to 5 ( I used to run about 50-60), but decided etsy was rather flaky, so have been putting my efforts into AH.
Only Etsy will be able to fix this for you. If your account was hacked and they changed your bank account information, Etsy may have suspended it for your protection.

agree, a call back request using Etsy’s US phone number has worked for me. So sorry to hear about this! Hope they sort it out soonest
@CraftyCornishMaidsOMG! This is awful! Just no! Please let me know if there’s anything I can do to help! Maybe @ some of the mods? (Once you’ve followed Cindy’s advice).
This is a long shot, but did you look in your Account Settings to see if you show a "Closed Shop" that you can re-open, per these instructions?
https://help.etsy.com/hc/en-us/articles/115015808568-How-to-Reopen-a-Shop-You-Closed
on the phone now
Wow, that's terrible, I'm so sorry! I agree with the advice in the above comments. The only thing I have to add is that you should probably give your bank a call in the morning, to confirm everything looks okay there. I don't know how much a hacker could access, but it doesn't hurt to be vigilant. Good luck!
So sorry to hear this. Never a dull moment.
That's a big worry for you! I hope it all gets sorted out very soon.
following
Omg! How horrible! Hope it gets fixed soon!!
so.....
I have a ticket number
9134630 .. If I am never heard of again, put on my tombstone : -)
... apparently, someone will e-mail me,
I asked what I should do, if they don't, and I have to login and contact them - which should be a feat in itself, as I am an Uh Oh!
... and my problem is, the e-mail they sent me, to click on, goes to
https://www.etsy.com/your/account/payments
and that just goes in circles, probably, because I don't exist.
word of warning, don't put all your eggs in one basket.... I am not as stressed out as many would be, as I have been weaning myself off etsy for a long time.
but this is really a bit daft
@CraftyCornishMaids "word of warning, don't put all your eggs in one basket.... I am not as stressed out as many would be, as I have been weaning myself off etsy for a long time."
Agreed. Every time I do something around here I brace myself for being removed. Which reminds me, time to download my listing descriptions again...
I am now hdthomas1
I've even lost my CraftyCornishMaids,
that's really not nice at all - erased for all eternity
.... and I am really going to go to bed now
You still have the TeaCozyCraft shop running. Can you get your listings posted up on that shop for now?
Were any of the listings common to both shops? . . . could it be Etsy?
Lawrence
Nope, no listings were common, and I had etsy's OK about that,
It's definitely in response to me letting them know someone logged in from ohio, and how should I format my mobile number for 2 step authentication,
we shall see how it pans out, but if I was dependent on etsy, I would definitely be rather more upset than I am now
I am now going to bed, and see if something happens tomorrow afternoon, when etsy wakes up.
.... hdthomas1 - aka CraftyCornishMaids
I still have my avatar, but not my shop name .... and am now a "curator" whatever that is
Aackkkk!!! that's upsetting news. Hopefully someone at Etsy will be able to get this restored for you asap!!! yikes
This is terrifying! I hope it gets resolved soon, and with no financial repercussions!
Holy Cripes! Hope they get you back up and running soon!
