Shop de-indexed not appearing in search

Jump to solution

Hi, my listing has been selling very well lately (over 10 per day), and suddenly stopped selling. I noticed this shortly after changing my shipping settings to allow shipping to Canada in addition to US. When I go to my shop manager and click "marketing," then "Etsy Ads," I get a message saying, "Looks like your shop is on vacation mode or inactive right now. When your shop is active again, you can start advertising right away." I checked that my shop is not actually in vacation mode. My listing can still be viewed through a direct link, but it cannot be searched, neither can my shop. I changed my shipping settings back to how they were, but still no luck. I believe my shop is not indexed any longer.

Note, out of desperation at loosing a weekend of sales during the hottest selling time of the year, I created another account and another listing with the same name. However, the seller name is 1 letter different. But with no reviews and no sales history, I'm not getting any sales with the new account. I need my old account to be searchable as soon as possible.

Any ideas?

A - contact Etsy with "Shop Not Indexed" in the title. Keep responding to the automatic etsy reply until you get a solution. Do not open more than one ticket.

and...

B - I don't know about 2 shops owned by the same person selling the exact same thing. The bots may shut down your second shop.
and other shops owned by the same person need to be disclosed in the About sections of each shop.

C - from your listing - "The calendar is designed in Michigan with all of the art work done by Michigan locals."
So not by you? You need to be the maker or the designer of your handmade items. The others will need to be listed in your shop:

Thanks for the feedback.

A. I already started a ticket called "SHOP DE-INDEXED !! PLEASE HELP." Should I start another ticket with the heading you recommend, or keep going with this one?

B. I closed down my other shop to prevent confusion for whoever is working on this.

C. I will address this in my listing. Thanks for the heads up.

@DayByDayCalendars: In general, DO NOT open a new issue or contact Etsy multiple times about the same issue (doing so closes the one you already opened and puts the new one on the bottom of the pile). Often the first response you get from customer support is an automated reply meant to weed out the people who contact support over common issues that can be easily solved by reading Help or the forums. Every eMail from Etsy support should have a link something like "I Still Need Help". Click on that link (or actually reply stating that you still need help) to keep the report alive or Etsy will assume that it is resolved. You may have to do this innumerable times, but once on each Etsy reply before anything is done but do not give up.

Follow-up... I was able to get a call back from the link provided by @CatsBeadKitsandMore , and within 12 hours found my listing searchable again. I never did see any feedback on my case, nor did I get any emails, or explanation for why this happened, but thankfully everything seems good again.
