I am a Canadian seller and would like my listings listed in Canadian dollars. For the past few months my currency has been changing to US dollars automatically. When I reset my currency to Canadian dollars within hours it automatically changes back to US dollars , this is happening daily. I have reported this through Etsy help but haven't received any assistance to correct this issue.
Are you sure you’re viewing currency is set correctly?
Yes I have to reset it daily. My Etsy site wont let me select my business city location, When I go to set my location, I get nothing on the drop down list. It doesn't even give me Toronto which is 300 miles away. This has been going on since early in the year.
@PrettyRocksCheap How did you set up your shop? Did you choose CAD as your currency?
Where are you talking about setting location? When editing shop page? When you go into edit it is not giving you the ability to add your city or city close?
When you reported did you send them a screen shot of the shop home page in edit mode for the location? That does seem to be a problem for new shops. Currently your shop is a year old or so? I have location but my shop is older but when I do the drop down under location there is no additional locations to choose from so I think Etsy has messed with this.
BTW finish your shop, you need about page and shop policies.
Check you shop currency here: https://www.etsy.com/your/shops/me/currency
Check your user/viewing currency here: (using a browser) go to any search page, scroll to the bottom. Click on the settings panel on the left. Change user currency. Click Save.
Note: Your user currency only affects your user account and the currency you see when using the Etsy website. Other users will see your listing prices according to their own user currency settings. If your user currency is changed, this does not affect the shop currency or the currency you are paid in. Other users have reported that the currency can change by itself, possibly due to a setting on the device they are using.
Shop Location: I've seen posts recently from other people with a similar problem.
@PrettyRocksCheap I heard that the location list issue has been fixed so you should be able set your shop location now.
