Hello, my name is Somnath Mondal, I want to tell you, Behalf Of my Couisen sister's seller account has been suspended, she has been selling on Etsy since 2021 and has made 1011 sales till now, her Shop Name (Silver Fashion Brand )  suddenly night of 18th Feb her account was suspended. She Sells Handmade Jewelry, Design Never Received any Copy Right Other Kind strikes account, She Shipped Items Time And Doesn’t have a Due Balance, She Appeal 3rd time but there was no response Esty Support, Because of ETSY, she was able to get her son into a good school, but suddenly this happened, and her dream was shattered, she is not able to understand, what will she do, You are requested to help Her

if a shop is suspended there is normally a valid reason why. Was the shop reselling items that they clearly did not make? Was the shop in violation of multiple IP violations. Is there a history of low reviews/slow shipping/etc.

None of us can give you the answer, only our opinion.

From what I'm seeing, Etsy is starting a (much needed) crackdown on misrepresenting shops. That may/may not include your friend/relative's shop. I don't know. But, there are a lot of shops (with many thousands of sales) that are suddenly POOF due to what (when a cached version of the shop is viewed) definitely breaking the TOU.

This shop closure can be appealed. Some have been removed in error. But this is entirely Etsy's call. Their sandbox. Their rules.

ok, per you, she is not reselling. She is the designer. Is she the maker?

if not, did she describe who the maker is? Is her design available to just herself, or do others buy it? See if she is a designer and others buy/resell, then it is almost a chicken/egg scenario. Who came first?

in this situation, Etsy is protecting the buyer pool. I wish they'd do more of that. So many shops are sketchy at best. Some are outright lying. Particularly in the jewelry area. It is actually impossible to sell items for the prices being charged, for the products represented.

I have been in the jewelry area for over 35 years. Some things are not possible. Even if one takes nothing for the labor, the materials cost is more than the items...in too many cases.

she should appeal if she can. But she should also not expect a reversal. Your situation may be a fluke.

When I opened my Shop, it was suspended during the onboarding process, after 3 months my shop was suspended permanently, my appeal was denied and Etsy support told me - 

Thank you for your message. Although we appreciate that you would like to continue selling on Etsy, your Etsy account is permanently suspended for violating Etsy
While we’re unable to provide more information about the decision that led to your account suspension, if you believe this action was made in error, please respond to this email.

The second time I Appealed Then They Said - 

After careful consideration, we've determined your account does not qualify for reinstatement. We've performed a comprehensive review of your account and the information you provided, and are unable to reconsider this decision.
While we’re unable to disclose our internal review criteria or discuss your account status further, if you have questions related to fulfilling orders, your Payment Account, or your business history, please let us know.

 With a Broken Heart, End of Etsy Journey I Gave Up And Moved forward to My Offline jewelry Store Where I Sell My Products, After a month I Just Scrolled items on Etsy What was new on Etsy, Suddenly I Was Shaw My Etsy Shop Item that I listed, I Just login To account It's Magicly Account was reinstated, There Is No Email From Etsy, it's Magicly, I back to my online Etsy business, I pray to God and Etsy Support, Do this Magic For my Sister As Well, she just Hoping she will Back on Etsy, and I hope also,

OP, I'd strongly suggest you remove the copied responses from Etsy.

that's a huge no no. Moderation will remove them, but that's a mark on you. Your conversations with Etsy are private and that's part of their conversation with you.

I'm sure that shops are removed in error.

I'm also very sure a great many more shops should be removed for misrepresentation. I've had a very disappointing time yesterday looking for an item for myself. I couldn't find a single shop that I felt trustworthy to buy from for this item. I'm sure they exist here. But there are so many shady shops, clouding the area, that I couldn't find that good shop.

so I'll buy local. Many others are finding the same.

Does the shop owner design and make the jewellery themselves? If not, it cannot be sold on Etsy.

Did they enrol in Etsy Payments or India Payments when required to do so?

Yes, She Designed, and clicked pictures of the items themselves, on 31 Jan she enrolled in Etsy payment, but her Tax ID was Not Verified At That time, Due To her Technical error account being in Holiday Mode after she received an email from Etsy - that Said you needed verified you Tax information, after that she updates them, Etsy verified this within 20 min, and the account was back in selling on Etsy, After 18 Day The Account was Suspended

She Makes Themselves We Sent A Whole Video Of Making Jewellery to Etsy Support, She has been in This Business Since 2002 at that time she worked at a local store, and now she is on Etsy, she used to own Material And Gemstone, Every policy of Etsy, She follows all the policies perfectly and never broke any rule and regulation, because she designs and makes themselves, everything, comes under Etsy Seller Policies

She is the perfect Handmade seller according to Etsy seller book policies, She Deals In 925 Sterling Silver. Designs of Jewellery, Making, Gemstone Setting, Polish, and Gemstone cutting, and lists on Esty everything she does herself

If your relative/friend has filed an appeal, don't keep on filing new ones.  Only reply to the original answer from Etsy stating that you need help.  Filing repeated appeals will only cause Etsy to immedately close them.

It may be that there was nothing in her shop that triggered it. But they have associated her shop with another that was previously closed. This is why we can't let anyone login our account and have to be very careful. Maybe it was a relative of hers even using the same computer.

Yesterday She raised a call-back request, Esty Support Call Her Within 3 Minutes, and They Said Yes As We can see you still getting 5-star reviews and all the items were delivered, they told us we will respond soon through E-mail Help you re-open your seller account as soon as possible, We Again Escalated To Our Etsy Specialist, They Back To you Soon, I Hope She Get her shop back
