Etsy, please address this issue! My shop has been in forced vacation mode twice in 5 days, and I have received no response or resolution despite multiple attempts to contact support. I verified my identity as requested, received an approval email, and my shop briefly went online—only to be forced into vacation mode again after making one sale.
Not only is my shop still inaccessible, but my funds from last week's sales remain on hold, preventing me from supporting my family. I understand that Etsy must comply with verification policies, but it is unacceptable to leave sellers in the dark for second time without any updates or solutions for so many days.
Please respond and let me know what is happening or what steps we can take to resolve this issue!
They won’t respond. They’ll simply put a copy paste message and keep us in dark
But your shop is open it is not on vacation mode i just checked likewise others
Hi https://help.etsy.com/hc/en-gb/requests/new#issue_buy_help_with_order-contact_select
please open this link and select buyer option instead of selling
This is incredibly frustrating. I've read many posts in the forum, and while most sellers seem to have their shops reinstated within a week or two, I've also seen cases where it takes over a month. This is affecting a huge number of shops, especially those outside the U.S. (not sure if is the payoneer etsy payments method ) —I’ve only seen one case from California. I’ve had to stop reading older posts just for my own peace of mind.
I'm still on the first forced vacation from the 27th but now I'm worried it will happen again when they finally get to me after seeing all of these posts. I can't believe the lack of support from Etsy. I know, like many others here, I have spent *many* years building my shop and to have my entire income ripped away from me for no fault of my own is beyond disappointing. Where are the humans? Is it only bots now?
Hi please try to connect with them through this link https://help.etsy.com/hc/en-gb/requests/new#issue_buy_help_with_order-contact_select
please open this link and select buyer option instead of selling
@ChipShowgraphics it's only giving me the option to e-mail. Do you get more options?
Yes i got an chat option you need to open this link on another browser which is not connected with etsy
@ChipShowgraphics I will try that. Thank you!
I tried with chrome browser and it did open the live chat. Hope to get in touch with an agent soon
I’ve also tried with the buying on etsy option and was only able to create a help report, which triggered an automatic email instructing me to upload the documents. I’ve replied to these messages many times, but still no response. I did receive a reply on Instagram, and after they contacted me, my shop was reopened within minutes. However, it was placed on vacation mode again just a few minutes later. I replied to Instagram again, and they said someone would contact me, but no one has reached out yet. I’ve contacted all social media channels, submitted multiple help reports, and posted several times in the forum. Not sure what else can we do.
Etsy requires verification of the payment address. I have submitted my passport and electricity bill as required. But I have not received any response from them. I asked for help on the help page and got a very mechanical reply: We need 2-5 days to review the documents you submitted. Then their trust-and-safety@etsy.com team has not responded to my emails. The online chat customer service has not responded either. I am very worried. Is this platform still safe?
Also didn’t received my funds! And already second vocation after purchase.
I am in same situation. Customers go elsewhere. This is crazy same info since 2013 in my shop. Sent passport and no way to contact anyone. Just a lowly number in the etsy world. My shop is my income.
Did someone saw a message in the forum with more than more than 2 forced vacation modes?
Yes, I saw post here that someone has third force vocation mode. All after purchase. 1 order - new verification. It’s crazy
I did successfully chat with them using a different browser but it was the same thing - will send your message to a specialist.
I’m still on live chat with Bryan, who requested some information about my shop, which I provided. It seemed like it was going to help, but in the end, he just mentioned that he would request an expedited response for my case. He only hinted this: "I can guarantee you, Etsy is trying to help us. It really is just that, they might be assisting other sellers before you so they cannot respond to us just yet"
I did beg him for help, nothing.
I also beg them to restore everything like before but they are not verification team this whole process comes under other team so they can only ask us to wait and escalate our issue
One of the agent also guaranteed me to help me and i also called them one of the my known seller had a option for call so i pleased him to put my number on call so they also stated that wait for 24-48 hrs there is some issue from etsy side we will surely help you out
just do one thing connect with them continuously after 2-3 hrs of interval we need to run after them for our shop
Same problem, made one sale and put on vacation mode again. They said “I’ve checked your account and I need to escalate your case to another team in charge of this” What document did you previously get approved? Was it in English letters or another language?
My other store is in this same cycle of bug and I don't know what to do with it anymore.
I am from Chile, so my information is in Latin characters and Spanish. My account is connected to Payoneer, as we are outside of the U.S. I'm not sure if the Payoneer payment method is the issue. I contacted a seller who had her shop on vacation mode for the second time and then reopened, and she told me that it took about 5 days for her shop to be reopened. She also mentioned that Etsy never contacted her, and she advised not to bother emailing them because they never respond.
They said to me not expect anything after today. It is a third party that is verifying and it is up to 5 business days, not weekends. I have never had one issue in 12 years. Now everytime I reply to a forum they take it down.
My shop has been reopened, but I need to wait for a sale to see if it will stay open or go back into vacation mode again. The only thing I did recently was the live chat. The shop that made the original thread that I text on was also opened.
