Shop Sale Not Showing Up

Jump to solution

Yikes! Help! I run a constant sale on my site of 20% off. A customer who'd reserved a piece just wrote to say it was no longer on sale. The sale I created shows up as "active." I created a new sale in case there was a glitch in the old one, but it's not showing up either. The original sale was scheduled for 3/31 at 6PM. The new one is scheduled for 10AM today, but nothing. Is there a solution?

The sale shows up when you look at a listing.

It does show up when you click on a listing, but its odd that its not showing the items with sale prices on your full page, even when you go to the whole sale page. Maybe its taking a while to kick in for some weird reason, like a glitch? Sorry about that happening, its strange. You might need to try to contact Etsy, but good luck on that.

Hmmmm, that's a concern. It's showing on my whole page now and I hope it stays that way.

OP, my sales never show when I view my shop in Chrome browser, but they do on Edge browser. I can't explain why that happens. Etsy works better on Edge for me than any other browser. I prefer Chrome, however.

Hmmmm, thanks. The problem's been solved now and it was apparently something on Etsy's end. I use Chrome and have never had trouble with it interfacing with Etsy. Today's problem wasn't related to the browser.

@SouthwestJewelryUS

I see the 20% sale and free shipping on all of your items.  If it matters, I am using Chrome.

@SouthwestJewelryUS: Can't explain why there was an issue with the sale, but do you realize that when you "run a constant sale on my site" you are breaking the law by having what the Federal Trade Commission considers fictitious and / or  deceptive pricing and it is considered an unfair sales practice? Plus if customers see that things are always on sale they will not trust your pricing.

Re: Shop Sale Not Showing Up

Well, thanks for being helpful and my actual problem has now been solved by Etsy. I rerun my sale every month and have explained it to my customers this way in the "about my shop" section I believe it is: "The costs of my materials are very high and the prices I need to charge to cover them, with a little more added for my time, is more than I want you to pay. So I promise to run a regular 20% off sale which will show you what I should be charging, with the sale price indicating what I'm more comfortable with." No one has ever complained. I don't believe even the Trade Commission would take umbrage with me for giving my customers the best price I possibly can and very little profit, if any, for myself. But I want my customers to understand they're getting a good deal. If that's deceptive pricing then I guess I should be locked up.
