Is an order still considered late via Etsy if it shipped on time but I was 1 day late in adding the shipping information.
The moment I entered it, you can see all the tracking showing it actually shipped a day early. Is that reevaluated?
I don't think so, you have the add the tracking on time
No, it's all done by a bot. The bot sees WHEN the information was entered. It doesn't go back and re-evaluate.
@MainStMagnolia: From Etsy's (and Star Seller's) point of view, the "shipped" date is the "completed" date and you cannot mark an order as completed retroactively.
From my own experience: The shipping date gets re-evauated.
I have just had the same problem. I shipped a batch of orders and forgot to mark them as completed on the same day. It was Friday and I remembered on Sunday, so I immediately completed them in shop manager, adding the tracking info. And at first it showed them as shipped late (drastically decreasing my Star Seller score), but on Monday it got updated and shipping dates corrected so that they were on time (and the Star Seller "On-time dispatch & tracking" stats also got back up).
If you add the tracking number, after the latest ship date, star seller will show as late, and you will have no seller protection, if a case is opened.
You have to enter the tracking number, by the last ship date, for star seller and seller protection.
You do have 3 days to add/change it, but etsy changes the ship date, to the date you entered the tracking number
