ETSY please for the love of GOD fix the "this order doesn't have tracking - BECAUSE I AM SHIPPING IT WITH ANOTHER ORDER FROM THE SAME CUSTOMER". I have had four in the past month (a greeting card shop offering free shipping means they checkout - and oops I need a card for Aunt Betty too, let me jump on and buy one more). My Star Seller rating is dropping because I offer a great product that people want more of???? Help me understand. SO I also try to copy and paste the tracking from the single shipping label into the other orders from the same buyer for that day and because it is a first class mail (.81 stamp, tracking starts with 003 not the standard 9 as with a package) it tells me "invalid number" - WHAT? It's the number you assigned (or rather Pitney Bowes). PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE make a legit fix for those of us who send multiple orders in one shipment!!
If you need screenshots of what I am referring to please reach out (it won't let me attach photos here), I have plenty - byemily@comcast.net
Or feel free to look through my star seller shipping stats to see the orders in question that show NOT SHIPPED, to see the additional orders to that user.
Just a seller, trying to live up to your expectations,
Emily Young

Hey There!
For combining multiple orders into one shipment, you need to add the tracking number for the package to each order when you’re shipping two or more orders to the same person in one package. Also, make sure to mark all orders from that buyer complete on the same day.
Please note if you are using "Pitney Bowes" tracking it is only be counted as a valid tracking number with the order you purchase label, it will not be counted as valid for other orders that you will combine with it. This is because Pitney Bowe's tracking number works specifically with Etsy and not with USPS's system. While the package was technically shipped with USPS, it's handled by a third-party shipping partner which is Pitney Bowes.
Thanks!

Re: Shipping multiple orders to the same customer on one shipping label
@byEmilyYoung This is a seller peer to peer forum, not a way to contact Etsy, if that is your hope (although Etsy does sometimes post here).
There are a number of threads about this in this forum. We very often ship multiple orders in a single package - just put the appropriate tracking number on each order that is in that package.

I didn't know the first class labels for letters didn't have trax that would work for multiple orders. What have you been doing all this time, before the SS program?

Re: Shipping multiple orders to the same customer on one shipping label
@PillowDetails The star seller program has had absolutely no effect on how we do business - we have always only shipped with tracking. @byEmilyYoung The tracking number you are referring to is NOT a tracking number, just think of it as a serial number and USPS will not scan it so Etsy has no way to know if you actually shipped the order. Only shipments with tracking count for star seller and per Etsy: "If you're a US seller with an order shipping to a US buyer, a tracking number may be required if that order is at least $10 USD (excluding shipping, taxes, gift wrap, and discounts)" If you have not yet done so, you might want to read https://help.etsy.com/hc/en-us/articles/115015774228-How-to-Add-Tracking-and-Complete-an-Order-?segm...

Re: Shipping multiple orders to the same customer on one shipping label
I guess I want to know how the OP has marked orders as completed in the past when she can't paste a trax from a letter size label - she sells greeting cards.
My items are all package size/weights.
(And yeah, SS doesn't affect how I do business either)

Re: Shipping multiple orders to the same customer on one shipping label
Pitney Bowes numbers are NOT tracking numbers. To get tracking you have to ship First Class Package. USPS does not allow tracking on letters. The way Etsy does it is another of Etsy's "fixes" that are poorly designed and don't work.
Many people in your situation sell their cards in packs so the price is high enough to warrant sending as a First Class Package.

Re: Shipping multiple orders to the same customer on one shipping label
Came here from a google search, and I want to say to ETSY -Why doesn't the system automatically combine multiple orders from the same customer? I swore it did at some point. Personally since I sell stickers and decals I don't have time to cross check duplicates (when there's dozens of orders a day) but this morning I happened to notice I had one and there's no way to combine them. Instead I have to print a label on one order then copy the tracking over. In todays modern world that seems Ludacris.

Re: Shipping multiple orders to the same customer on one shipping label
I agree, all we need is to be able to check each order for that customer & click another box which says 'Combine Shipping'
Surely in 2024 technology has come that far, ebay has
