I am nearly there for Star Seller in October but it seems like Etsy has calculated incorrectly. The only order that is throwing off my stats has, in fact, been sent and is somehow not calculating. The client has already sent me photos of the prints. How can I reconcile this stat issue so I become a Star Seller for October?

We determine what orders are included in the On-time shipping calculation by the order’s Ship By Date in UTC. To get a closer breakdown of your orders that were counted as late, you can download a CSV by going to your Shop Manager dashboard > Star Seller dashboard page > selecting the On time shipping & tracking tile > selecting the ‘Export’ link next to ‘Order breakdown’. Make sure to ship the order on the given ship-by date.

Does the tracking for the item show as being tracked in Etsy order area? If it does not show tracked in the order then Etsy's software probably was unable to read it. This does happen occasionally.
You can contact ETsy about it but usually the response is in most cases they won't change. Perhaps if the Etsy order shows the tracking as being delivered then Etsy may change.
If this comes off as snarky, I apologize. That is not my intent. But, if ya'll want to give me grief for it I'll accept it gracefully because I can't think of a better way to say it.
This complaint, with all the others posted in the forums, should be ample evidence that working towards star seller status is just an Etsy cheat because it does nothing to improve search placement or increase sales.
My suggestion would be to concentrate on product quality, customer service, and marketing rather than another useless gimmick.
I'll give you grief because you are not presently selling on Etsy so how do you know how this impacts sellers. You have no direct experience with it. To some it is important and Etsy has hinted at possible future developments which impact a sellers placement in search.
So while your last line is very important, it's also important to recognize what Etsy says is important for having a shop in their venue which is the star seller. They are showing us exactly what they want to see based on the service level standards which has been in place for years. To Etsy fufilling the star seller can only be had by having good customer service.
@CoitCreativeShop: If the appropriate CSV file shows no tracking and if the shipper is supported by Etsy make sure that the shipped date, tracking number and shipping company show correctly on the actual order. Etsy relies on a third party vendor for tracking (and tracking number validation) and uses the data on the order. Often recent shipments are not correctly / timely updated. Our experience is that a day or two after the package has been scanned the CSV file correctly shows tracking and shipment status.
It also appears that orders without a processing time will count against the Star Seller metric as will orders which have shipped late .
You can't remedy it. It's a bug and Etsy won't fix the problems their bug has caused. Here's the link to the info about the bug...

@PrimFun Sorry but hinting at priority placement for star sellers is just the latest carrot from Etsy. First, 25% of the first couple of pages in search is dedicated to sellers who are advertising. Then for years they said you would get priority placement by offering free shipment on orders over $35. Now it's star seller. I wonder if that will include the star sellers who are actually resellers? And of course there is the boost in placement that they give to new accounts. So with the thousands upon thousands of sellers who are either, new. star sellers, offering free shipping, or paying for ads how much priority do you think is even available?
