I have a 2-3 week process time for all my listings.
Listing says: Order today to get by Aug 23-29
Order came in today 8/11 and it states must ship by 8/16 in the backend?
What is the deal???
I am seeing Sept 3-13. Are you designing these that ship from China?
I'm seeing August 23-29 on the listings that sold, September 3-13 on other listings in the shop. Looks like it's more likely a shipping profile issue attached to certain listings.
Yes. Its why I have 2-3 week shipping times. Im a realistic and bit padded to give room for shipping. I tested several companies and they are great.
All my listings should show 8/23-29 if you're looking at them right now.
On that note.
My mom made/painted ceramics when I was a kid. She still has her tree!! I just faved your trees.
I want to make one with a white pearl finish, some iridescent glitter with all white lights! haha. Im a handmade for two decades+ and designer at heart.
Never mind my first comment, you just made your first sales and don't have a selling history to go by.
Its my second sale and I have 2-3 week process time on all my listings. Only one shipping profile. Didn't have this issue with the first sale.
I have no idea where the 3-5 day process time comes from.
Front end shows correct but backend order says 3-5 day process to my buyer and ship date is 8/16...
I really dont want to have to push the date on my second sale! LOL
Im not an Etsy rookie so this is weird. Ive had shops here on and off since 2011. Just this shop is new.
I have pushed ship dates out a lot. I have never been penalized for doing so. That's what I would do.
Also to add I didnt even get a notification from your replies. LOL
I just happened to come check.
You will not get any notification UNLESS someone actually tags you with @ in front of your shop name. You should get notified that there was a like made tho.. but not that someone was speaking to you. if that makes sense?? lol
It may depend on what kind of notification they are talking about. Like are they expecting push notifications like we can get when people message our shop? Or just that they didn't get a little notification number on the top of the screen?
@TheHomespunLoft Im in Syracuse. Small world.
I was talking about forum notifications.
Ive received people replying to thread notifications. No notifications when someone posts in your thread? What? LOL
@ is for nested comments.
I swear my account is just glitching! Haha. Im no Etsy rookie.
I would say we should hold a get together for us Etsy Syracusians (and those using Syracuse because it's the biggest city to them), but I'm an introvert and probably wouldn't go. Ha!
I have had people yell at me because they say I am not really in Klamath Falls. I tell them the same--it was the closest place in Etsy's dropdown menu!
I don't know if anyone remembers but years ago there was a drop down box and one could simply type in their real location. I guess they changed it (I suspect because some jokesters were putting crazy places like "the dark side of the moon", etc)
ETA: Nested in wrong spot but not going to cut and paste or copy all that!!!!! LOL
Id be so down to go to dinner or the like! LOL
Even as an introvert it would be low key fellow makers! haha
Etsy has been known to change some info on shop listings. One I've had happen is to change manual renewal to auto. Always good to check your listings. One never knows.
According to the Forums Help Section
"You can @mention someone by their shop name to notify that person in a comment. "
It has nothing to do with nesting at all. According to Etsy.
-Am technically not in Syracuse- it is just the nearest big city to where I am.
But hi neighbor!
@TheHomespunLoft Im about 15 minutes outside the city so I get the 'next big city'! haha.
@BlushandRosie Be sure you have your "email" set for receiving forum community notifications. Go into your forum profile settings for email ... there is a box that you can tick on/off. If not ticked, then Etsy will send you emails for forum notifications. Hope that helps!
As for your shipping dilemma ... I would set up a NEW shipping profile and assign it to all your listings via the listing bulk editor. Then DELETE the OLD shipping profile. This should push out any glitches that are happening.
Too funny some of my fellow neighbors happen to reply.
How small a world!!
