Shipping Settings Problem with Calculated Shipping Profile

Hi,

 

I created a new listing on Etsy yesterday and it said I needed to enter a shipping weight. When I went to do that, there was not a place to enter anything, pounds or ounces. I have shipping profiles set up with postal weights and domestic and international shipping methods. I tried to edit the shipping profile and I got a message saying I needed to add at least one domestic shipping method. When I clicked on the edit icon, it doesn't give me any shipping options and still shows I need to add a shipping method. This is only on shipping profiles with calculated shipping. 

Is anyone else having this issue?

Calculated shipping is not profiles with weights and measures, That is a fixed shipping profile.

Calculated shipping has its own profile which includes countries and level of shipping service offerd.  If your shipping profiles have anything else that is not calculated shipping.

Calculated shipping adds the weight of the item packed and boxed.  Dimensions are item only.  Folded or rolled or the dimensions of the inner box.  It is done in each listing with the attached shiping profile of level of service and countries shipped to,

So I believe you are using fixed shipping.  The issue may be the ground advantage USPS now has. 

(Please add your shop location.  It is required by Etsy).

I do not have a fixed shipping cost on the shipping profile I'm having this issue with. I have it preset for USPS ground advantage and priority for domestic and first class international and priority international for international shipping.

I adjust the weights and dimensions for each listing but the shipping methods stay the same. However, the issue I posted above is new. It is not giving me the option to change or edit shipping methods or weight and dimensions.

@pardonmypast  Doesn't sound right. Did you try chat support.  Are you in the new or old listing version?

Having the same problem with shipping on a new listing. I used to be able to select "calculate it for me", select the countries to ship or not ship to, processing time, WEIGHT and DIMENSIONS, I could select several shipping options, and would get a preview of what it costs for several time zones. Now, it's asking me to select only ONE shipping service, and asks how much I am going to charge....What is going on? What happened to calculated shipping as it has worked for years?

I have 4 Etsy shoppes and in my craft supply shop it is doing this to me. But the 3 other, so far, where I sell home decor I still have all the options. Now in my craft supply one I get the option for fixed price or free shipping and it's automatically on free shipping. I too have tried chatting but get canned answers unrelated to what I'm trying to tell them even with screenshots.

As maddening as this is, especially because I tons of new items to list but I'm not doing it until this gets fixed. It's like they are doing this on purpose so we all start doing free shipping or something. The fact that it's automatically on free shipping....

I'm wondering when this will be corrected, by the looks of the responses here, it's hard to believe that this issue is only affecting 3 sellers!

I was able to fix it, or should I say my daughter helped me fix it, I had Google but not Google Chrome. Try a different search engine and see if it works for you : ) best of luck to all

@curioscity I only use chrome on my pc, but having the same issue in safari on my ipad. So that doesn't work for me.

Thanks @curioscity, tried another engine yesterday, no luck today either. I have chrome as well.

I reached out in the chats, the matter is going to top minds for a solution.

It's maddening, trying to find a work around, but my only choices are to select a fixed shipping price or free shipping.

It was a big deal when this site joined the other big online selling sites and installed calculated shipping.

Now, it feels like 2010.

Yesterday noted same in my shop. Chat support suggested trying another device, another browser, clearing cache and history. Nothing working and very frustrated. New or copied listing continue to get the same prompt to choose at least one domestic shipping service and it does not respond. I have no way of correcting or altering any of my 140 plus listings or profiles.

Just checked and this glitch is only happening in my main shop, not my second shop where shipping edits are fully functioning. Etsy Admin please be aware that this is happening to several sellers and needs to be addressed ASAP

I have nowhere on the new shipping form for postage at all. I have messages Etsy twice, they have not soered irt out. So I cant list new stuff. Its so annoying...

If anyone else is having this issue, please reach out to support. I did receive fairly prompt customer response and they "adjusted some data" on their end. Not sure of why or how this happened in the first place but I do hope it is resolved for good.

OMG.  I chose today to very, very reluctantly give the "new streamlined" listing experience a try and had a similar problem... what the living, breathing horrible awful heck!?   Went back to "old" listing version, but was, and still am, horrified that this might have been "normal" for the new one. 

Why.  WHY, Etsy!?  Why MUST you torment us with all these horrible new changes!?  And for the luvva dawg, PLEASE stop telling us that this is what sellers want.  I call BS.  (Oh yeah, and stop trying to claim that YOU are giving us shipping discounts.  You are NOT.  They are commercial base pricing amounts which are available just about everywhere.)

Yes. Calculated options have disappeared from my shipping profiles. I can only offer free or fixed prices and there is no where to input the measurements and weights of a package when I'm setting up a new listing.

Same, the calculated option has disappeared for listings that were there for ages. When I tried to re-apply my shipping profile,  my listings just disappeared from the settings page. What's going on?
