Shipping Score for 1 order at 50%

I had an order placed on Friday April 7 which was Good Friday, a holiday.  Sat Apr 8 and Easter Sunday Apr 9 and Monday Apr 10 were all holidays.  I shipped the order out on Wed Apr 12, which was the second business day as promised.

My Mom was under palliative sedation and I messaged the buyer and let her know that and let her know the the shipment would be going out Tuesday or Wednesday as I wanted to spend time with my Mom before she passed away, which she did on April 13.

But I still shipped the order out within the 2 business days that I specified.

I am not happy that my shipping score is 50% as I shipped out in 2 business days.

Etsy does not recognize holidays. You should have extended the shipping date.

Unfortunately, sellers have to accommodate for holiday shipping delays by extending the processing time before or after the order. (Also, depending on your location, some Canada Post outlets were open over that weekend, so even if Etsy did include holidays as non-shippable dates, it might not be accurate.)

When holidays interfere, you need to extend the shipping date.  Etsy does not recognize holidays for any country.

It's always a learning curve we all go through.
