The new profiles for processing times are AWFUL. It is a downgrade from what we were using. Aside from that, the delivery dates are wrong. This is my technical issues, along with some complaining.
My technical issue is that the dates are way off. I had to cancel and refund two orders from the same person because she thought she would get her order way sooner than she would. And each order, BOTH placed TODAY to the SAME address, had different delivery dates shown to her at checkout. With the orders shipping the 27th, one shows delivery May 28th-29th, her 2nd order showed into June. The 2nd date was correct. She had to have placed both orders during this nightmare update. She just picked the delivery date she wanted in her notes. I can't image why she would be confused? I AM CONFUSED and I make the product! She also picked ground shipping on both orders. When ever has ground arrived in 1 day, 2 days max? Maybe if I shipped something to my next door neighbor. My processing times have orders shipping next week. And even in incognito mode I can see the expected delivery is WAY off.
Please excuse my other rant but here goes...Aside from expected delivery dates being off, I have been frustrated for months with the expected delivery dates. This "expected delivery" date has been an issue for me since they removed expected SHIP date. Tell them WHEN IT WILL SHIP! It has been making customers mad when they do not get their order at the beginning of the date range. You know, the one that shows it will arrive the day after it ships on every single order, ground or priority mail. I am losing my hair. I have continually had to ship early. I am so frustrated and have been selling on here for years! It creates canceled orders. HOW IS THIS GOOD FOR ANYONE? I have had to keep my processing time longer than it actually takes for months, to prevent people missing gifts needed by specific dates. So Etsy thinks I commonly ship EARLY. No I just have to lie about my processing time because of the expected arrival dates.
Next day delivery should never be a thing the customer expects unless they purchase postage for overnight shipping. I shipped priority mail one town over and still took 2 days! Priority mail does not arrive in 1 day, and ground absolutely does not either. The delivery dates are misleading and I am beyond frustrated. It is not the customer's fault they have these unrealistic expectations either, it is the fault of the misleading delivery dates.
Now the delivery dates are just WRONG. Even if I ship early, WRONG! PLEASE SEND HELP
I apologize for the rant. I had to get this off my chest, I have been so frustrated fro months and this update the icing on the cake.
