I sold an order with only stickers and I am trying to send it via USPS letter mail. I was always able to do this in the past and the option is now not available. Is this a bug or did etsy end this service with the new USPS Ground shipping? Anyone else having this issue?

Drop dow the box and pick either flat or letter. The box always defaults to package first. You have to drop down the box.
I'm having this issue too. I can select letter, but there are no shipping options available.
You have to make sure the envelope dimensions match what is considered a letter. When I input the wrong size before it would not give me the right option. If the sizes you entered are larger than what USPS considers a standard letter, then you have to go up to a flat.
Make sure you set the depth of your envelope to .25 inch or less.
I'm having this issue too. My item fits in an envelope, less than an ounce, and to my knowledge meets the size criteria. All the shipping options are greyed out and I dont have any options under $3.75 for a label...
If it's for calculated shipping, I believe I've read it does not calculate it as an option (I use flat rates, not calculated, so can't confirm).
You should still be able to choose this option in Etsy labels.
Make sure you are choosing 'Letter' under package type. I just put in a standard envelope as a test, 1oz, 9" wide, 4" tall, .1" thick, and got the option for $.63 first class letter postage.
@audreythereseOH FFS I had to swap the width and height!!!! wefkjhaesfjhaseknflhasdjkl arghhhhhh
I've literally spent multiple hours over the last two weeks reading threads, calling etsy, changing settings... Thanks so much for trying to help me. I have everything right except those boxes
Oh no! Well at least you got it figured out! And you should save it as a preset, that way in the future you don't have put in the information again and can avoid making a similar mistake. That's what I do.
I can't even figure out how to set my shipping profile. I keep getting an error message that say to set them up where I select which one I want. I've emailed several times and get the same answer. Help!
I sell stickers and use a standard 4x6 or 5x7 envelope. I recently added shipping upgrades to my listings and one buyer selected “Priority Mail Express” and paid the additional charge, however Etsy will not let me select that option.
I googled “Priority Mail Express” and saw there are specific envelopes they need to use and a specific shipping label. Is it that we can ONLY use envelopes in the sizes listed below:
Literally NONE of my stickers require this much room, so how do i offer faster shipping upgrades without having to use huge envelopes?
@AfterglowCraftCo: You do NOT have to use one of the listed envelopes, but it is to your advantage to use the (free at your post office) Flat Rate Envelope as the postage will almost always be less than if you use your own packaging and it will be clearly identified as being Priority Mail Express.
Maybe it makes them easier to sort and identify as PM Express if you use their envelopes?
I keep a few of each on hand (free at PO or you can get them shipped to you free online) just in case. Hope it worked out.
I am having This issue right now. I have been selecting “Letter” and my dimensions are 7.5 by 4.5 and 0.2 in height. It worked for me yesterday but now it is showing as unavailable. The only thing I did differently on Etsy is change all of my listings prices and shipping weight because it wouldn’t allow a weight below a pound…. But my stickers only weigh 0.7 oz.. so I am not sure if that might have something to do with it?
@TheTwerkingNun: What weight did you put in? I believe that 13 ounces is the maximum for letter rate.
"wouldn’t allow a weight below a pound" There are several posts about this in this forum - the solution seems to be to make the pound field a blank rather than zero.
A regular FC stamp covers up to 1oz.
You can go up to 3.5oz with additional postage in a regular envelope.
Large FC mail envelopes can go up to 13oz.
@TheTwerkingNun are you sure you put in the decimal? The only thing I can think of offhand is that you accidentally put in 7oz instead of .7oz.
How are you trying to buy labels? Through Etsy labels? This is the only place you can buy the first class letter rate labels (that I'm aware of, I know Pirateship doesn't offer them because they don't consider them a commercial package).
