I have a custom order in progress that was supposed to ship by the 15th. I needed to add 2 days to the order (The order could not possibly be shipped today as the artwork is still drying and packaging would stick to the art) and the buyer was fully aware, not rushing to get the order shipped. I went to the order to update the shipping date to reflect that the date would be shipped on the 17th, not the 15th which was +2 days. I verified that the date was correct in the selection box as I was adding two days not subtracting two days, and the order updated to say that it ness needing to ship today. I feel that this is a glitch and it is going to reflect poorly on my shops performance. Customer support suggested that I cancel and refund the order and have the buyer re-purchase. I feel that that is a hassle for the buyer to have to wait for a refund, makes me look unprofessional because of a technical error. Anyone else having issues with updated their Ship By date?
I have the same issue…Etsy does not allow a correction and asking a customer to allow us to cancel and they re-order shows a lack of respect for customer support. We risk losing Star Seller status or losing a customer! Poor management on Etsy’s part.
