I was aiming to gain a start seller badge or at least become more closer to this target. During period from May to July I was at 90% for shipping and 89 réponse rate. This is because I missed two messages and 3 orders ended up delivered later than needed. My understanding was that these misses were done in May meanwhile during June and July there were no issues. On the 1st of august these figures were recalculated and I ended up with 86% for shipping and response rate . My question is why it was recalculated not in my favor ? Why would this percentage decrease if everything was going smoothly and we were approaching to getting a star seller badge next month. Thank you!
@GruarShop: You should check the applicable CSV file from your Star Seller page to see which orders Etsy thinks there is an issue with. Obviously we don't know how many orders you shipped in May, but along with the May "shipped late" orders, the May "shipped on time with tracking" orders are also no longer included in the calculation. It takes 19 'shipped on time with tracking' orders to offset every 1 'shipped late' or 'shipped without tracking' order.
"... 3 orders ended up delivered later than needed." Just so you know, Star Seller is based on shipped not delivered.
The August calculation covers May/June/July (April dropped off). It's a rotating 3-month calculation, recalculated on the first of every month.

@BagmakerSupply The August star seller calculations are based on May, June and July.
May drops off in September and is replaced by August stats.
@CostumeCoutureNaomi: I was responding to OP's statement that "On the 1st of august these figures were recalculated and I ended up with 86% for shipping and response rate ." which would be for the September star ( data from June, July, and August).
There are % for the August STAR and % shown in your shop for the next months star..2 different things. The August star is based on May June July. A done deal at this point. The % now shown on your dashboard covers June July August and will rise or fall based on your August data.
