We had a customer order on Sunday and then our account was required to ship by Monday which was a federal holiday, Memorial Day May 30th... We shipped the next day on Tuesday. We are dinged with a late shipment and now our star seller badge was not earned for the following month.

Etsy has never recognized holidays.
It's up to sellers to either extend the shipping date "before" the item is due to be mailed or either make your processing time longer than 1 day to account for holidays.
If you had moved the ship date up to Tuesday on Sunday, then the item would not have shown as a late shipment.
So since you didn't mail until Tuesday, the shipment shows up as late shipping.
Nothing can be done about it.
FYI, there's another Federal holiday on June 20th.

Re: Ship Date Was Memorial Day ???
Etsy never accounts for postal holidays. Etsy has only one site, with sellers from 200 countries on it. Frankly, I don't have faith that Etsy could keep track of the thousands of postal holidays worldwide.
There are 11 US postal holidays you need to remember. The next is Juneteenth, which is celebrated on June 19, making June 20th the postal holiday. Set a reminder on your phone or computer, or mark them on your calendar.
Etsy gives sellers 2 tools to deal with postal holidays. Either extend your turnaround time prior to the holiday, or if the sale has already happened, extend your ship-by date out my a day. Both cover you, and you won't be dinged by Star Seller.

Re: Ship Date Was Memorial Day ???
You need to be away of holidays and then update shipping when needed. ETsy does not recognize any holidays and that includes Christmas.

Re: Ship Date Was Memorial Day ???
A good business policy in a civilized world would not even think to punish sellers for orders that come in on a holiday weekend and can not be shipped on the Federal Holiday (MONDAY) We got whacked with this ridiculous glitch too. Since Etsy largest market and headquartered in the United States how hard could it be for Etsy to correct this really head shaking dumb policy at least here in the US.
CS informed me that I should have shipped the order that came in on Saturday at 5 PM BEFORE the holiday. OMG! Really? Just fix it Etsy ok?
Star sellers can provide Flawless service for their customers and this ^&*( policy throw great sellers in the trash. Not at all a good policy. In fact it is I better not say.....

UGH this just happened to me. I printed the label out yesterday, now I can't ship today. There's no way to change the shipping date now...
