Shall I just close my shop and give up waiting?!

I reopened my shop after a 6 week holiday on 1st July. I do not owe anything.

My shop:-

- says I am still on holiday

- will not allow me to renew expired listings

- initially had all listings hidden and annotated 'deactivated by etsy' in red

- after my first help request to them one listing became active and they told me they had fixed the problem

- from this one active listing I could copy and create new ones

- I messaged them back and said the problems were not fixed 14 days ago - but no response

- I started a new request 3 days ago (other one was closed by them) asked for a call back. One more listing was activated by them and request states there was action 2 days ago - but I haven't heard from them

- it is now nearly 3 weeks my shop has been closed and I cannot get any help

- They have activated etsy ads and are charging me theose as well as the new listings I have had to create - while my originals sit there 'deactivated'.

Anyone have any suggestions besides close the shop and get a website???

I changed my settings on 1st July and if I look at my settings it says my shop is active but says on holiday at the front end, that is one of the problems. There should be 22 items for sale.

Try deactivating all your listings and reactivating them

Having your own website is always a good move and have Etsy for extra sales

Your jewellery is absolutely beautiful, you should look into getting a place on Fantasy fairs in the UK, for example like Fantasy Forest

I seem to remember seeing someone recommending deactivating and then reactivating the listings and that worked.

Cryzalis thank you for your kind words about my jewellery and the suggestion about fantasy fairs - I never thought about that. Your masks are sensational and so unique, I loved looking at them thanks for replying.

But it's only showing 7 listings of 21, that is a vacation mode glitch and can be rectified by deactivating all listings, waiting a few minutes and refreshing your active listings page and reactivating all listings.

Thanks but deactivating and reactivating has been tried several times.

There may not be a holiday mode banner on the shop page but the message says I am on holiday (this from holiday mode settings).

I'm sorry this hasn't helped. I would have one more try with Etsy but if this doesn't work, perhaps close this shop and start again. I think you've been really unlucky with this problem.

Thanks Sirocco. I have just done another request. I think you're right, the only option left is to close shop, there are too many issues with it. Disappointingly, I will lose my feedback, followers and sales (small as they are).

Perhaps your titles had words that were not allowed also you could change your announcement - you are now open - dont give up - one click - and someone may just buy - good luck to you

There’s definitely a glitch in your shop. I’m looking at it with the buyer app. When I first looked I could see just a few listings but the search box says “search all 21 items.” When I tried  to scroll through the listings, they all disappeared and where the listings should be it’s blank and says “no items were found.” Even with the blank home page, there’s an earrings section that says 11 items and I can see there are items in it (on the app we can see a few tiny thumbnails on the section). When I tap on the section I see 6 earrings listings and  I’m able to open the listings.

You’re welcome to copy and paste my post here to share this information with Etsy.

I can see 3 sales and 1 review so if Etsy doesn’t fix this, I would consider closing the shop and starting again with a brand new shop. Unfortunately you’ll have to choose a new shop name and a different email.

What are the listings that are in red "deactivated by Etsy"?  Are they amber, by chance?

You say they activated ads.  Can  you turn off the ads?

I have just managed to change the shop announcement from closed but most of my items are still 'deactivated by etsy' which greys out the tick box so I cannot activate, renew etc.
