Seller badges not displaying

I had Star Seller for the last two months and received an email yesterday telling me that I had been awarded Star Seller for March, only I hadn’t been because I didn’t meet the the sales metric. I did however meet all of the others: 100% message response, 5.0 average rating, 95% dispatch and exceeded the number of sales - but there are no individual badges on my page to recognise any of these stats. I’ve had badges before like ‘Rave Reviews’ but now nothing. Why is this? Thank you.

Exactly the same for me.  I knew that I hadn't made star seller for March because I hadn't sold enough, despite Mother's Day normally being a really busy time for me, but there it was in an email saying "congratulations".  And not a single badge on my profile. I'd contact them to ask why, but that's virtually impossible if you're not a star seller and I'm past caring.

Thanks, presumably it’s not just us either. I was going round in circles looking for a way to report but this seemed the only way to tell anybody.

If there is no banner on your star seller page saying that your badges have been permanently removed then it could be a glitch. Download your stats from the star seller page in your dashboard to see if that gives any more clarification, if not, contact Etsy

Thanks, I don’t seem to have anything about them being removed. I was looking for a way to report it and this was the only way I could find.

You don't get the mini badges unless you meet the order and sales amount metrics.

Every month etsy erroneously sends out "you've got it" emails.

The error here is the email you received, you shouldn't have received. You didnt meet the sales amount so you didn't qualify for SS and therefore do not receive any badges.

Thanks for your reply, but you do get the mini badges without being a full on ‘Star Seller.’ I’ve had them before and there are plenty of sellers that only have one or two of them and don’t have a Star Seller badge displayed.

@ChrisCowdrill Correct, however, you only get the mini badges if you first meet the number of sales and dollar amount criteria. Did you make 5 sales and sell $300 during the three month period?

You said you missed the $300 sales amount.

Therefore you don't get the mini badges.

Yes you do get the mini badges that you qualify for. It's always been this way.

Before you are eligible for any of the Star Seller badges you must first meet the number and value of sales milestones.  Only if you reach these two will you get any of the other badges.  If you meet those two but only meet one or two of the three main criteria you may see the individual badges you achieved in your shop, but not the overall badge.

If you are a new shop, you don't become eligible to receive any badges until 90 days from the date of your first sale.  Once the ninety days pass you can qualify from the next month onward.

the sales and revenue are  5 items and $300 for the last 3 months, not 1

If you don't meet the 5 items and the $300 then you are not eligible for star seller.  It is part of the dynamics.

Hi there, I know how Star Seller works - my issue is not about not being awarded Star Seller. As other contributors have noted, I’m sure you can be awarded the mini badges such as ‘Rave Reviews’ for meeting the specific metric without being a Star Seller. I’m sure I’ve had these before and other sellers have them currently.

This is how the logic works......

1. if you don't meet the 5 sales and £300,
you don't get any badges, full stop, even if they are 100% and a 5

2. If you meet the 5 sales and $300,
but only 1 or 2 of the other criteria
you get the badges you passed the criteria for

3. if you meet the 5 sales, and $300, and all 3 other criteria,
you get the 3 badges
And you get star seller

Any of the three individual badges (Shipping, Reviews and Feedback) CAN be awarded individually without meeting the other two, BUT ONLY if you have first met both the minimum # of sales AND the minimum $ value.  Without those two categories you don't get ANY badges.

That is perfect! I wish they would put your text up as the first thing you see when clicking on Star Seller from the Shop Manager menu.
It would be extremely helpful for new sellers in particular.

Plus add a number 4.
ALL new messages must be responded to or sent to Spam within 24 hours of receipt.
(I wouldn't even bother mentioning the From Etsy exception)
