Hi Everyone,
I’m new to Etsy and recently encountered an issue where a buyer reported an error while trying to place an order in my shop. They mentioned there was a problem during the checkout process, but I’m not sure what caused it or how to resolve it.
Here are the details:
I’ve already reported this to Etsy Support Team, but I haven’t received a direct reply yet.
So is it a scam?

Scammer - mark as spam.
Mark it as spam. I'm glad you recognized that it is BS.
But don't expect a reply back from etsy. The volume of scams is high and they won't respond to each report. Stay vigilant.
etsy says under every message
DO NOT CLICK ON LINKS
so don't

Unfortunately this was a scammer not a real buyer, hopefully you will get a real sale soon. These creeps target new sellers who do not know the ropes and they can steal from by getting you to put in your banking and CC info again on their site.
Thanks all for your responses, really helpful. Actually there were 3 other messages, with different names and messages but the same attachment. My spidey senses told me it was a scam, so just want to make sure. Thanks again
Hello.
By the way, was the problem solved? I'm facing the same problem, even when I try to place one of the items in my store in my cart.
@ClayandArtShopit's not an error, you cannot buy from your own shop that's why you can't add your own items to your cart.
Yes, now I've noticed it myself! Therefore, the corresponding messages that we receive, as new users, are spam and are intended to mislead us! So we do well and don't click on the links they send us! Thank you
There's a message from Etsy under every message you receive here warning you of scams:
It's right below the message sent and right above where you reply.
"To stay protected, stay on Etsy. Never follow links to other sites, and don’t share contact, account, or financial info with anyone in Messages. Learn how to spot spam."
