I'm selling laptop cases with the category as Electronics & Accessories - Electronics Cases. The new search visibility is telling me to choose more specific category. This is the most specific category I can find in Etsy and it is a perfect match, I have no clue how to make it more specific. Does anyone else have the same experience? Thanks
There are sub-categories for electronics cases that include Phone Cases, Laptop Sleeves, Tablet & E-Reader Cases, Camera Bags & Cases, Laptop Skins, Laptop Bags, Tablet & E-Reader Skins and a couple more.
I've found that when making a listing with the new listing form, the category chosen by the system is usually just the main category and the next general category, just as you have. After publishing it, I'll go back to edit, reenter what the item is and only then will I be shown more specific categories to choose from. Don't know why it works like that and I'm not guaranteeing that it'll work for everyone or every time, but it's worth a shot.

Thank you so much!
I’ve bookmarked the Etsy categories from somewhere on the site, because trying to find more specific on the page is a frustrating time waster on my browser and i can never find it.
You need this link:

These ae the listing categories for sellers, they are slightly different from the categories that buyers see in search. Many of the listing categories map onto multiple buyer categories, and some buyer categories are set by listing attributes.
Here is the buyer categories page: https://www.etsy.com/categories
but it only shows one subcategory level, more levels are shown in search.
