Search has gone haywire

Jump to solution

I wonder if anyone else has this problem:

I type something into the search bar. The items coming up disappear and I´m left with a column of: more like- this add to cart.

Pictures disappear or keep jumping up and down.

It does not happen when I search in incognito mode.

I´m on chrome. I shut down and restarted and it still does´nt work.

Any idea what it could be.

Do you have any browser plugins/extensions enabled?  Sometimes things that block ads for instance can cause Etsy's layout to fail.

Which browser are you using?

I had exactly the same problem a while ago, using the Firefox browser, which went on for a few months. It was a total mystery, since the Google Chrome browser at work had no problem at all. However, since I have updated Firefox to the latest version, it has been absolutely fine, so it might have been that.

It IS most annoying as you can't search for anything and get sensible results that stay still long enough to view properly - the results jump down the page constantly, but now everything is fine. Check you are using the latest version of your browser, and check also your plug-ins aren't messing with it. Perhaps pop-up blockers might be responsible in some way?

Good grief, thank you so much the both of you.

It really was the ad block extension I use. I switched it off and it works again.

Thank you!!!!
